Administrator's Corner
October 3, 2022
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we move into October, please make sure that you support getting your student here every day and on time. We are currently in the State's "October Count" Window until October 7th. Today, October 3rd, is the Count Day!!! (This is where the State of Colorado gives DPS funding for every student that we show enrolled.)
On another note, we will have drills this week, and we ask that you speak to your students about having their school ID. Students need school IDs for these drills, to get passes, and for each class.
Finally, on Friday October 7, we will have our First Friday event for students and staff. This is a fun day with an adjusted schedule where we acknowledge the SPARTAN Values that students portray in the month. We draw raffle tickets throughout the day for staff and students to award prizes. At the end of the day, we will have clubs selling food and desserts. This is also a time for teachers to plan and engage in some wellness activities.
Estimados padres y tutores:

Donations Needed for Staff Appreciation Dinner – Wed 10/12 | |
|
On Wednesday, October 12, TJ's PTO will host the first Staff Appreciation event of the year by
providing dinner during Parent Teacher Conferences. Teachers will be busy that night meeting with families, so we will serve a dinner of soup and sandwiches from 4:00-6:30pm to keep them going. The PTO will provide the sandwiches and we are asking parents to provide the soup/chili, chips and desserts. Please make this dinner possible by signing up here. We can't do it without you!
| |
A few volunteers are also needed, see the sign up for times. If you would like to participate but are not available on the 12th, you are welcome to make an online donation. We will use these funds to
purchase sandwiches and supplies. Please click here to make a donation that goes directly to TJ's
PTO and will be used for this dinner or future staff appreciation events.
Dropping Off Your Food Donations: On Wednesday, October 12th, drop off your item in room 111
between 2:30-3:30pm. If your item does not need to be refrigerated or heated, you can drop it off in
the main office kitchen on Tuesday after 3pm or on Wednesday before 3pm. Soups, stews and chili
should be delivered ready to serve in a crockpot fitted with a liner to help us with clean up. We have
plenty of serving utensils so no need to bring any of your own. The staff truly appreciates your support during this busy evening.
Thank you in advance for your generosity!

2023 PARENTS: HELP US SUPPORT OUR SENIORS!
LET’S BE GREAT - EVERYONE DONATE
Please DONATE $23 for ‘23
Let’s all make a final push and send in our support now $10 $23 $50 $100 $230 whatever you are able to do! This money supports all 2023 fun class activities, community-building, senior year events and of course AFTER-PROM! We purchased and handed out fun yellow SENIOR SPARTAN SHADES to all the seniors for Homecoming TJ Spirit Day & Pep Rally - they LOVED THEM - thank you! Community-building lately also included us underwriting the Senior Sleepout and the Senior Splash events and so the students made all the money from the events for their Prom. These events could not happen without your Financial Support! Let’s keep up the momentum for a Great Senior Year!
