Opioid Epidemic Leads to Dramatic Increase in Overdose Death Rate among Teens and Young Adults
Dr. Bina Ali of the Children’s Safety Network Economics and Data Analysis Resource Center is the lead author in a new study published in
Journal of Studies on Alcohol and Drugs. “Trends in Drug Poisoning Deaths Among Adolescents and Young Adults in the United States, 2006–2015” found that the nationwide opioid epidemic has led to an increase in the death rate for young people from overdoses.
