Pivot to Remote Learning
With a sad heart we would like to announce a pivot to remote learning starting Monday December 7th through the end of the semester December 15th. This has not been an easy decision to make since we have not had any cases of COVID 19 within our school. Due to a high number of students learning from home already as well as the increased risk on the county’s COVID-19 dial we will be pivoting to level 3 remote learning for all students.
We had hoped to stay in person until Winter Break because we know that in person learning is best for students. We have valued the time we have spent in the classroom and will be looking forward to getting back to the classroom as soon as possible. Teachers will spend the remainder of the week preparing students for the pivot to remote learning.
The expectation for students will be to log on to each class every day just like we have been doing in the classroom. I know this will be a disappointing decision for many families but we will uphold the rigor and expectations of CEC during this time of remote learning.
