Please Welcome Our Newest Member, United Bikers of Maine - Waldo County!

UBM Waldo County is excited and honored to collaborate with area businesses in the Waldo County community. Established in 1975, they are a motorcycle rights nonprofit organization that lobbies for motorcyclists in the State of Maine.

Jim Banks Jr. has been appointed the Waldo County Director of UBM. In addition to lobbing in Augusta they are a huge supporter of our veterans and children across the State. UBM recently had their annual Toy Run at the Windsor Fairgrounds where approximately $40k was raised in donations & toys. The toys were divided amongst all the Maine counties and on behalf of Waldo County and with special thanks to Kristie Hamlin and Crystal Box, we were able to donate to Waldo Community Action Partners where they will assist in distributing toys this Christmas throughout the community.

They are presently working on establishing veteran rides in collaboration with other Maine counties. Their hope is to bring awareness and safety for fellow motorcycle enthusiasts as well as partner with area businesses and community members to assist with our Maine veterans and children, in that no one is forgotten or left behind. This is where they believe your business or organization will be pivotal in helping them reach more people across Waldo County.

The New Midcoast Villager Launches Today

Built on 196 years of local journalism, the Midcoast Villager is the latest evolution of community news for Knox and Waldo counties, combining the coverage and legacies of The Free Press, Courier-Gazette, Village Soup, Republican Journal, and Camden Herald.

They are driven by the idea that a local newspaper’s job is no longer just to report news, but to bring the community together and find solutions to make this place we love even better.

The Villager serves midcoast Maine with the latest news, in-depth solutions-based journalism, profiles of our community members, arts and culture coverage, and voices and opinions from across the region.

They believe that community news has a bigger role to play now more than ever — one that connects people to their neighbors and the places they call home.

Become a Villager. Get the weekly print paper. Come to their events. Read the stories online.

Important Message from Whale's Tooth Pub

Dear Friends, Neighbors and Valued Customers,

After significant consideration, we have made the very tough decision to offer the Whale’s Tooth Pub Oceanfront Business & Home for sale, and to close October 14, 2024, to spend important time with family, all of whom live out of state.

We thank, admire and So Appreciate the extremely devoted team members here who have diligently served over 50,000 guests since opening our doors nearly four years ago, delivering on our collective mission of Serving Happiness, through carefully prepared pub food, mixology and genuine and loving hospitality. In parallel, we owe so much gratitude to friends and neighbors who have trusted us with their dining experience all year-round.

New Location, More Traffic!

When the Chamber moved to 33 Main Street in Belfast from our 14 Main Street location, we anticipated more foot traffic! And the data is proving it! We have welcomed 44% more people to the new Chamber office and Information Center than in the previous location from May through August. And September is still busy!

How does this affect our members? More people are hearing and reading about your business and our volunteers are doing a stellar job this summer. Your Chamber working for you!
