New Development Updates
A new winter season is rapidly approaching and this newsletter is designed to keep you up-to-date on what's happening in the Dominican Republic . This month's issue will focus on the Samaná Peninsula on the northeast coast of the island. Hacienda Samaná Bay
All of us are really excited about the progress of Hacienda Samaná Bay . This new project has plans for 400 residential units -- all with spectacular ocean views. Prices will range from $85,000 for a studio up to $243,000 for a 2-Bedroom apartment. Private villas will be constructed in future phases. This project is located directly on the malecon in Samaná.
Ground has been broken and pre-construction activities are in full swing. Concrete work is scheduled to begin in just a few months and we anticipate a 12-month buildout. Unit sales are now available on a "Reservation" basis so please contact us for additional information.
What is the "Condo Alternative"?
We're getting more requests for "condo alternatives" which are small villas or "bungalows" with a private garden, swimming pool and carport in a safe and secure "gated community". This is especially true for owners who will not reside in the Dominican Republic for more than 6 months a year. The main point is that this type of owner wants to feel sure that their real estate investment is protected and well-managed when not in residence. For some, rental income when not in residence is also a determining factor.
Arroyo Barril Estates
Arroyo Barril Estates - A 2-Bedroom villa with it's own private garden and swimming pool would start around $125,000. A carport would be included with upgrade options available.
Airports and Other Services
There are two airports serving the Samaná Peninsula: the El Catey Samaná International Airport and the Arroyo Barril Community Airport. Las Americas airport in the capital city of Santo Domingo is only a 2-hour drive away. There are medical clinics in both Samaná and Las Terrenas and shopping is also available in both cities. The eastern portion of the Samaná Peninsula has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

Samaná Bay Residences
This gated community has 8 residential lots which are elevated above sea level. A short walk takes you to a private beach below. Patio doors open on to the terrace from the living areas enabling indoor and outdoor living to be easily combined. Prices start at $495,000 usd.

Puerto Bahia Samaná
Puerto Bahia is located on the Bay of Samaná just west of the city of Samaná. This exclusive gated community contains The Bannister Hotel & Marina which is surrounded by waterfront condominiums and mountain villas. Prices range from $495,000 to over $1 Million for mountain villas. 1-BR condos start at $149,900. Amenities include tennis courts, gymnasium & spa, oceanfront restaurants.
