See You At The Pole

SYATP is Wednesday, September 27 at 7:30am. This is a student-led time of prayer and worship as we lift up our school, community, and nation. Parents are welcome to attend. This year's global theme is "wholehearted" and inspired by Jeremiah 29:13. You can learn more about SYATP here.

You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. - Jer. 29:13

Be sure to print the flier or show it on your phone! More info and the flier can be found here. Please note - this will be at the Panda Express off Wilshire in Burleson.

Yearbook Ads

The Lions Pride Yearbook is now reserving recognition ad space for this year's book! Because of limited spacing, we are taking reservations for ad space now! If you would like to purchase an ad in honor of your student, we need your ad reservation by Friday, September 29. Photos and sentiments will not be due until January but reservations for the ad space are due ASAP. Please contact Mrs. Glidden if you have questions. Forms to reserve ads are available here.

The Lions Pride yearbook for 2023-24 is on sale now! Order your yearbook now for the lowest possible price. Purchase a name stamp and you can get four free icons for the front of your book! Don't miss out! This special promotion ends on Friday, September 29. Order your book at www.jostens.com.

Johnny Appleseed Day

Lower Elementary will celebrate Johnny Appleseed Day on Friday, September 29. Students in K-3rd grade may wear a t-shirt colored to represent their favorite apple (ex. red shirt for Red Delicious) with jeans. They may also bring a pot or raccoon tail, as well as, 1 apple, or apple themed snack for snack time. We will have various Johnny Appleseed themed activities for students to participate in.

Fall Book Fair

Our Fall Book Fair has officially closed. If your student still has a balance on E-Wallet, you can spend those funds by purchasing books from the Scholastic website or keep the funds on E-Wallet until the spring fair.

A big THANK YOU to all of our volunteers who helped the Book Fair run smoothly through last week and Grandparents' Day! We could not have been successful without you! THANK YOU, parents, for your patience as we worked through technical issues with E-Wallet and credit card transactions.

Fall Sports Picture Day

We will be taking pictures for fall sports teams on Monday, October 2. Middle school teams will wear their blue jerseys. High school teams will wear their white jerseys. JV Volleyball will take one picture that will include both teams. Order forms were passed out last week, but more can be found outside the coach's office. If you have questions, contact Coach Erhart.

Mission Trip to Costa Rica

NCA is going back to Costa Rica, March 9-14, 2024, and it's not too late to sign up! Last year’s trip of building a home for a family in need was an amazing experience for our students, teachers, and parents who were able to serve. Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors will have the same opportunity to build a home in San Jose, Costa Rica. You can find more info about the mission trip here. If you have any questions, contact Mrs. Magner.

Calling all 8th & 9th Graders!

We are going to explore Washington DC, April 10-14, 2024! We will examine America's heritage through a Biblical worldview on the Explore Washington DC Tour. We will visit Capitol Hill, the White House, Arlington National Cemetery, Smithsonian Museums, Ford's Theater, all the Memorials, and more! Contact Mrs. Davis for more info.

Absentee Alert

If your student will be absent, be sure to let us know! You can report your daily absences (sickness, appointment, etc.) and upcoming absences (family visits, college visits, vacations, etc) on our website. Once upcoming absences are submitted, they will be sent to Administration for approval. Parents and teachers will be notified of approval via email. Please give as much advanced notice as possible. Report both daily and upcoming absences here.
