Ministry Friends

We love serving with YOU!

How are we already in Summer?? We cannot believe how quickly 2021 is flying by.

As you will see in this Newsletter, there has been a lot going on this year. God has been moving and continues to do so. Many changes are going on right now in order to adjust to the increased client appointments. We are beyond excited and love participating in The LORD's Kingdom work.

Thank you to every one of you who faithfully serve prayerfully, financially and physically. Together, we are making a difference... one life at a time.

Yes, it's true. We have moved! We give thanks to God for this milestone. It is the first time in the history of Still Waters that we have had our own office space. Praise be to God for His provision and faithfulness through ministry friends like you.

A special shout out of appreciation goes to these two ministry friends who beautified our office and gave it the Still Waters feel. Words cannot explain our sincerest appreciation for these God-fearing servants:

Vickie Clark, Interior Designer

Dustin Ivy, Carpenter

Please come by and see us. We would love to show you around!

Look! I tell you, raise your eyes and observe the fields and see how they are already white for harvesting.

We have been blessed to come alongside young mothers, pray for them and support them during their pregnancies.

Many prayers have been lifted, tears of joy have been shared and parties have been held to celebrate the little lives that have been created in God's image.

Thank you ministry friends for your incredible partnership. Without YOU, we would not be able to help these mommies. You are making a difference now and future generations to come. God bless YOU!

Robyn put together an evening full of fun, food, and fellowship for our teen/young mommies. They had so much fun dressing up in their tackiest thrift store attire.

Congratulations to our tackiest dressed winner, Kay! She rocked it!!

Thank you, First Community Church, for providing a place for us to have fun and fellowship. Thank you too, Kara Montano, for sharing your amazing testimony. We love you and are so grateful for your beautiful heart.

We loved supporting one of our teen/young moms as she promoted her home business at the Hidden Acres Community Event. Thank you to everyone who came by and supported her. Thank you, too, to her incredible Mentor (Kris Patterson) and her little man (Elliot).

What an amazing afternoon it was celebrating the life of Bill Hughes, a long-time volunteer of Still Waters. Staff, many volunteers, and current/past clients attended to honor and give thanks for his life.

Bill would have been so touched to hear the words spoken by one of his Ignite mentees, Fernando (pictured on the left). They were absolutely beautiful.

Many tears and laughter were shared among those who loved Bill, but nothing compared to the rejoicing that took place when a life came forward to surrender their life to Bill’s personal Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We know Bill was rejoicing in heaven along with us.

Until we see you again, precious friend, we know without a doubt you heard these words from Jesus when you entered into heaven, “Well done, good and faithful servant!” Thank you for your years of service Mr. Bill. You will never be forgotten.

We challenged Tori this semester, one of our Chosen moms. She not only accepted the challenge, but went above and beyond to exceed it!

This girl. Right here. Not only completed her CNA Certification, but completed the program top in her class!! We are so incredibly proud of her and want the whole world to know.

Congratulations Tori!! You are a living example and proof that all things are possible with God. You go girl!!

Mended Hearts, our peer group for teen girls, always have such a great time when they are together. It brings us tremendous joy to see their connections with one another.

This recent comment, made by one of the program participants, made our day:

“I am part of one of Still Waters’ programs for young girls called Mended Hearts and it has helped me so so much! I love it! I have made new friends who understand what I’m going through. The staff and group leaders are wonderful and caring!”

We are thankful for Paula Dunn and her leadership of Mended Hearts. She loves and leads these girls so incredibly well.

What a special time it was during our Walk On Water (WOW) ceremony. WOW is a healing Bible Study for sexual abuse victims.

Thank you, Sheryl Swift, for sharing your heart, gifts and talents. Your heart is absolutely beautiful. We thank God for you and giving you the gift of leading others through their healing journey from past sexual abuse.

Thank you, Mary LeMay, for your obedience in writing WOW. This Sexual Abuse Bible Study has transformed many lives. We stand in awe of God’s work in and through you. Thank you for sharing your story, your heart, your talent and your treasure with us.

....and thank you, ministry friends, for making programs like WOW possible. We cannot do what we do without you!! To God be the glory, great things He has done.

Thank you, Crandall Middle School, for asking us to speak to your students about the dangers and consequences of Sexting. We are honored and blessed to partner with you in educating your students!
