Character Trait: Character

Someone with good character believes they should make good choices and shows over time that they almost always make choices that are honest, respectful, fair, caring and responsible.

From Head of School, Lacey Scadden
With winter feeling like it keeps coming back, it is hard to believe summer break is just around the corner! With our CMAS testing wrapping up this week we will be looking toward scheduling our end of the year NWEA MAPs assessment to measure student growth over this past year.

Soon we will open enrollment for our math summer camp to address learning loss due to COVID in the area of math. Math camp will run half days, May 26th-June 24th.

This week, the Director of Advising from CECFC High School, Archie Carreon, came to meet with our 8th grade class to talk about the transition to high school. Students heard about the advising process, scheduling and what the high school is like. Mr. Carreon told students about getting into college classes when students demonstrate college readiness through maturity and the Accuplacer test.

We also had a few 6th graders go down and talk to the 5th grade Axis students about the transition to middle school next year. There are still seats available at all grades levels for next school year so please refer a friend to CECFC West MS!

Although the mask mandate has lightened up in some parts of the state, our area, and our school is still under mandatory mask mandate. Please encourage and support your student to continue to wear proper face coverings over the nose and mouth within the school building. Our local school community has done an outstanding job of preventing the spread of COVID-19 and we are looking to finish this year strong with our protocols!

Enrollment Open for 2021-2022!
We would love your help in spreading the word about open enrollment for the 2021-2022 school year.

When we ask students how they heard about CEC, 9 times out of 10 it is because a friend, relative, or neighbor shared this with them. Our schools continue to grow and we continue to impact more and more Colorado families because of YOU! If you know a family that could benefit from our program, you can share our Facebook posts, our Informational Webinars, or the link to enroll.

Please contact Jule Zehrung with any questions or suggestions!
