Summer Gr oups & Workshops

Teen EDGE group with Leslie Johnsen, MA, LLP, an 8 week group for males and females struggling with depression, anxiety or self-harm on Tuesdays, 7:30 - 9:00 pm, beginning June 6, 2017.

Parenting the Out-of-Control Child/Teenwith Joe Lilly, LMSW, for parents of angry, impulsive and hyperactive kids.  Determine who struggles with self-control and how to help your family.  Thursday, June 15, 2017, from 6:30 - 8:00 pm. 

How to Talk to Children about Grief, with Patricia Mroch, MA, LPC, NCC, for caregivers of children who are dealing with grief and loss that is associated with death, but also grief that occurs with divorce or trauma. Learn your own grief style, understand the child's grief needs, gain tools to help with grief, and identify coping strategies.  Saturday, June 24, 2017, 10:00 - 11:30 am.

Anger Management group for Men, with Joe Lilly, LMSW, an 8-week group for men who struggle with anger and anger management.  Participants will learn about their triggers and stressors as well as different ways to manage anger.  Beginning Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 6:30 - 8:00 pm.  

Social Skills group for Kids, ages 8-12 with Diana Jennings, MS, LLP, an 8-week group for males and females that helps kids learn effective ways to make friends and communicate in socially acceptable ways. Wednesdays, 7:00-8:30 pm, beginning July 12, 2017.

Navigating the College Experience with LaTanya Carter, PhD, LP, for college students age 17+.  A workshop to help with goal setting, decision making, time management, eliminating procrastination, finding balance, finding your niche and making transitions.  Saturday, August 12, 2017, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm.

Codependency workshop for Men & Women, with Karolyn Thompson, PhD, LPC, for adults 18+ who are challenged with patterns of unhealthy relationships.  Understand your roles in relationships and how to manage and maintain them.   Saturday, September 30, 2017, from 9:30 am - 2:30 pm.
