|FROM THE DESK OF MS. BRESLER...
This week at Mass Fr. Alex talked about how we sometimes forget that we are unconditionally loved by God. That we deflate our own value due to our circumstances or because someone says something negative about or to us. We need to realize that all of us are part of God's salvation plan for humanity, just like the people in the Bible and on the Jesse tree. I am sure they didn't know the part they played in salvation either. But let's take it a step further...if I/you are part of God's plan, so is everyone else he created in His image and likeness. Because of that, we should offer everyone respect and acceptance and help them to see their path in God's plan.

Arrive at 6:30 PM and have refreshments while mingling with friends and fellow parents at the St. Veronica Parish Ministry Center across the street from school.
One of the highlights of this session will be the opportunity to view the artwork of St. Veronica students during a mini art show prior to the start of information sharing session! St. Veronica's wonderful art teacher, Mrs. Keuffer, is organizing this for us.
At 7:00 PM, the group will move into the Our Lady of Mt Carmel Room as we converse about the latest topics of interest to parents, teachers and students. We are still working out the particulars for this session, but hope to have a couple of other fun things to look forward to after the holiday season ends.
If you need a sitter, no worries! Babysitting will be provided during the session.
There will be a random gift card drawing that will include everyone who attends - including teachers! Last session, Kris Durand (parent) and Mrs. Heeb (teacher) were the lucky ones whose names were drawn. Both received Amazon gift cards! We hope to see YOU there in January!
Mass Plus - Come to Mass, stay for more!
The most important thing we do as a parish, Fr. Del always reminds us, is Sunday Mass. You know how Mass goes, what to do or say. But what is happening on a deeper level? How can you more deeply pray the Mass, and not just attend it?
This year the Faith Formation Commission is offering a monthly event called Mass Plus - an addition to 9:30 or 11:30 Mass. Stay after 9:30 or come early for 11:30, or come back if you've been to 4:00 or 8:00! Adults and kids 4th grade & up start together, then adults stay with Emily Besl and children go with Bill Frantz to explore the meaning of the Mass and why we do the things we do.
Each month, we'll look at different parts of the Mass. Come to all or come when you can.
· for adults and older children (4th grade & up)
· once a month
· between 9:30 & 11:30 Masses on Sundays
· in the school cafeteria 10:35 to 11:20 a.m.
· short, informal, 45 minutes
This weeks topic: Liturgy of the Word
