Wear a Mask in Public
Beginning today, May 6th, there is an order for Massachusetts residents to wear a face mask or covering in public. Governor Baker issued an order requiring face masks or cloth face coverings in public places where social distancing is not possible. This applies to both indoor and outdoor settings. Exceptions include children under the age of 2 and those unable to wear a mask or face covering due to a medical condition. For more information about the order:
Make Your Own Masks and Face Coverings
Learn how to make your own face covering to help slow the spread of COVID-19. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) has created a great tip sheet on how to make our own face coverings - both sew and no sew instructions. You can make these coverings with materials you likely already have at home and could be a fun project to do with your grandchildren. Check out the link below for more information.
If you are looking for additional food support during this difficult time, please take some time to read about Pandemic EBT program in Massachusetts. The P-EBT program provides additional food support for students who would have received free or reduced -price meals under the National School Lunch Program if not for school closures from COVID-19.

Families receiving DTA benefits will get their benefits on their existing EBT card. Families not currently receiving DTA benefits will be mailed a new P-EBT card.

Family TIES of Massachusetts provides information and referral services, emotional support, and training to parents and caregivers of children and youth with special needs. Family TIES is a primary source for information about Early Intervention (EI) and maintains a complete listing of Early Intervention Programs in Ma.

EI programs have been approved for telehealth services during this public health emergency.

EI (for children birth to three years old) is a program for children with a developmental delay or are at risk of a develop natal delay. EI is accepting new referrals during this time.
