Honoring Jackie Fox for her 28 years of service to WOCAP

Ohio’s Community Action Network will miss the talent, passion, and inspiration lost with the passing of Ms. Jackie Fox.

From WOCAP's website: "Jacqueline was the CEO of West Ohio Community Action Partnership (WOCAP) and was a tireless advocate for economically disadvantaged people in this area. She was a regular fixture on Lima’s radio and TV stations, and made known the programs and places to get the help needed for folks in need of assistance. She will be sorely missed by many in this community. She lived the Bible verse, 'Whatsoever you do to the least of my brothers, that, you do unto me.' She was a true community servant."

Report Release: Community Action Distribution of Home Relief Funds

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Congress authorized Home Relief Funds for emergency rental assistance (commonly referred to as ERA1 and ERA2) to prevent the eviction of millions of low-income people. Through these programs, Ohio’s Community Action Network distributed nearly $660 million in funds to eligible households. The Ohio Association of Community Action Agencies (OACAA) engaged Ohio University’s Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Service to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of the funds.

The report will be released at a press conference on September 6, 2023.
