More than 3,000 masks and 1,500 eye protection units have been donated locally to-date!
With the shortage of masks and eye protection among healthcare workers continuing at a crisis level, the building industry has stepped up to assist in donating masks, eye protection and other personal protective equipment (PPE).
Locally, HomeAid Houston is working with David Weekley Homes and BMC in organizing the local efforts.
With the help of Leading Builders of America and Greater Houston Builders Association members, more than 3,000 masks and 1,500 eye protection units have been donated locally to-date. Nationally, more than 150,000 units that include both masks and eye protection have been collected.
The supplies were donated to Kaiser Permanente in Richmond / Rosenberg with others going to a clinic in the Fort Bend County area that is working with non-insured individuals.
