Denise Legarda: Bell Counselor
Bell Elementary would like to celebrate Ms. Denise Legarda. As our school counselor, she wears so many hats. She is available for students the minute they arrive at school. She is able to connect with every student by greeting them as they enter the building to pick up their breakfast. She welcomes each one by name with excitement and motivation. Ms. Legarda not only gives students that moment in time, but is willing to spend the needed amount of time without a second thought. She is highly organized and creative. She is always planning school-wide activities that promote building a community. Ms. Legarda not only provides students with individual and/or small group collaborative sessions, but she also works with all K-5 students each week. During these weekly classes, she is promoting leadership characteristics that can be used beyond our school walls. Ms. Legarda promotes student ownership and responsibilities. Students report to their assigned duties, supporting other students during morning arrival times, end of school day, and during lunch periods. Our school counselor at Bell is definitely a motivator, a positive influencer, problem solver, and most importantly puts all students first. Thank you Ms. Legarda for your dedication to Deming Public Schools, you are appreciated!
