The mDentistry eHygiene study, conducted amid the COVID-19 pandemic by a research team lead by Xiao and Kopycka-Kedzierawski from the Eastman Institute for Oral Health, introduces an innovative approach to dental care, which combines traditional dentistry with virtual visits supported by mobile devices and mHealth tools. The study involved 85 patients and 18 dental healthcare professionals across 12 practices of the Network. The study results were recently published, and it points to the potential of mDentistry and AI in transforming oral healthcare. |
