Select the Orinda Business Person of the Year

Please nominate 2017 Orinda business person of the year!
Last year Helen Bentkowsky was recognized for the creation of Sanvitalia in Orinda, and Land Home Financials was the 2016 Business of the Year.

Criteria for selection include:
- Be headquartered in Orinda.
- The business must be financially stable and operational for a minimum of three years.
- The businesses that have an employee serving on the Orinda Chamber of Commerce Board will not be eligible for consideration.
- The businesses must be a member of the Orinda Chamber of Commerce at the time the award is presented.
- The businessperson supports the Orinda community, and is known for their ethical behavior.
The 2017 local business of the year will participate to the Contra Costa and Tri-Valley annual award ceremony sponsored by the East Bay Leadership Council in May 2018.

Lamorinda Business Women, LabWo, was started a year and a half ago by the Executive Director of your Orinda Chamber. The meetings are opened to all the women who want to grow and support other local business women.
Start your business year with clarity and focus. Speaker, Barbara Koeth, Confident Choices Coaching, will guide you through setting your 2018 goals and creating a visual representation of your objectives with a short hands-on workshop. You'll walk away with a vision board that will continue to inspire you all year long.

Lamorinda Arts Council "Poet Laureate Application Deadline Extended to Jan. 31, 2018"
The Poet Laureate Program (PLP) marks the first opportunity of its kind for our local literary community. Thanks to endorsements from the City Councils of Orinda and Lafayette, the Lamorinda Arts Council PLP will manage and support the Poet Laureate who will serve both Lafayette and Orinda.
