KNP Konnections

From Our Editor, Nancy Allenby

What the new year brings to YOU will depend a great deal on what YOU bring to the new year. --Vern McLellan

We are grateful that KNP volunteers, donors and community partners have brought so much of themselves "to the table" during our first three years. We are VERY excited about the potential of what we can do together in the future, as we enable Kearsarge Neighbors to help each other flourish in 2024!

Cards and Cookies for Kearsarge

40 KNP VOLUNTEERS brought big smiles to our neighbors as they baked, packaged and delivered holiday treat bags with delicious cookies, along with fifty beautiful hand-made winter ornaments donated by the First Congregational Church of Wilmot. Another twenty+ volunteers signed and addressed over 200 KNP holiday cards for neighbors, donors and community partners. THANK YOU for helping us extend our warm wishes and gratitude to the Kearsarge Community!

Happy Anniversary, Kars for Kearsarge

ALMOST EXACTLY TWO YEARS after the inception of Kars for Kearsarge, the 11th K4K vehicle transferred into the hands of a family that desperately needed a van. The hard-working K4K team, KNP advocates and KREM jumped into action, and amazingly, within a week found generous donors with a van they were no longer driving. Auto Advisors checked out the vehicle and K4K arranged for the recommended repairs, so that the vehicle is sure to be safe and reliable for this family. Thanks to our vehicle donors, and kudos to all who worked so hard--and so quickly-- to help this van transfer happen!

KNP Board of Directors Brown Bag Lunches

THE KNP BOARD OF DIRECTORS truly cares about the Kearsarge Neighborhood, and works hard to address local issues and help make our community thrive. They've started having monthly brown bag lunches to get to know each other better, and to work toward being their best as a group. Thanks for your devotion, folks!

Konnect Kearsarge II Dec. 7

MULTIGENERATIONAL SOCIAL CONNECTEDNESS was the main topic as approximately 30 attendees met to learn about the wide-ranging impacts of loneliness and isolation, and to compare notes on how they can join together to support people of all ages in the Kearsarge region who may be experiencing them. Five discussion panelists representing TLC, the Kearsarge School District, Wellness Link, Counseling Associates and SHEI/Natures Way shared their expertise with attendees. Participants had a chance to brainstorm ways to promote social connection with both children and adults, and will continue to work hand-in-hand as a group to move regional efforts forward in 2024.

Thank You for your Gifts!

THANK YOU to all who contributed to KNP during our Giving Tuesday campaign, and throughout 2023! It's not to late make an end-of-year donation here.
