Dear Parents,
As mentioned in last week's newsletter, there was a meeting with Julianne Nesbit, a representative of the Clermont County Health Department, Thursday after school for all non-public schools in our area. We were told that it was very unlikely that Governor DeWine would close schools on a statewide basis as he did in March. If anyone would have jurisdiction over closing schools in our area it would be the Clermont County Health Department. She assured us that she felt the schools, in general, were doing a wonderful job of keeping students safe while in their buildings.
She felt that the schools would probably go virtual themselves due to circumstances in their buildings (too many students or faculty out, lack of subs to put in the classrooms for teachers who were sick/quarantined, etc...) that would make it impossible to stay open in-person, before the Health Department would issue a mandate to close. We are not at this point at St. Veronica.
Ms. Nesbite also mentioned that the Health Department was behind in contact tracing due to the increased volume of cases in our area. This makes it even more important and imperative that families keep the school notified if a student or their family has had contact with COVID-19. By isolating students that may have been exposed, we are keeping everyone safer and the school open. Please contact the school office with any information or questions you may have.
DEADLINE FOR VIRTUAL CLASSES:
Do not forget that this Friday, November 6th, is the deadline to let the office know your decision for the second trimester. If we do not hear from you we will assume that you are staying status quo, whether it is virtual or in-person.

DO YOU WANT TO GET LUCKY ON FRIDAY THE 13th?:
St. Veronica has decided to have another Early Bird Drawing for our Split the Pot Virtual Festival! It is not too late to get your tickets in if you haven't already done so. The drawing will be held on Friday, November 13th and you could win $100!
The main Split the Pot Drawing will be held on Thursday, November 26th.

Due to Covid -19 and social distancing, we will not have our annual Veterans Day Prayer Service and breakfast. We will however, continue to honor our Veterans, with the Veterans Wall of Honor. The wall consists of military photos, sent in from our parish and school families, of their special family members who have served or currently serve our country. We have saved all the photos from the previous years. Any new photos sent in will be copied and returned to you. Please put the person's name and branch of the military they served in, and please remember to put your name and where to return the photos. The photos may be sent to the parish office or the school office by November 6, 2020. Pictures can also be sent via e-mail to [email protected]

The Fine Arts Boosters would like to thank you for your support of our Butter Braids fundraiser. The braids will be available for pickup Monday, November 16th, in front of the school.  MEGA SPLIT THE POT RAFFLE
As a way to help with finances and make-up for our missed festival this year St. Veronica is hosting a Mega Split the Pot Raffle. All parishioners should be receiving a mailing from the Finance Commission containing information about the raffle and tickets to purchase. Tickets are also available to purchase online by going to the parish website. Please encourage your relatives and friends to participate. The more who participate the greater the winnings!
