MEDICARE SECTION

ANNUAL ENROLLMENT PERIOD IS COMING: October 15th to December 7th

Yes, the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period is coming back around again. For my clients, if you want to make changes to your Medicare plan or have questions, please let me know and I will get you onto my schedule to discuss.

You may have been receiving mailings from the different Medicare insurance companies already about their plan offerings for 2023.  If you see something you are interested in (a lower premium, copay, or an extra benefit) please let me know and we can discuss. I can also make a plan change (enroll) you into the new plan for 2023.

You should have already received your ANOC Document (Annual Notice Of Change) towards the end of September. This document explains what your 2022 benefits or plan benefits are and how your Medicare plan with change for 2023. So, look at the comparisons and see if your current Medicare plan will still work for you in 2023. See if your doctors are still in the network or participating, your prescriptions will still be covered for 2023, and if the extra benefits will still be offered. If not, please give me a call.

I will be returning all calls!!!!  My goal is within 24 to 48 hours. You can reach me by email or cell phone. If there is a delay in returning your call or email then please text me (with your first and last name at the end of the text message).

ALSO: NEW RECORDING RULES AND DISCLAIMER FOR SALES CALLS AND ADVERTISEMENTS: Starts October 1st.

YIKES …. So, remember all the Joe Namath commercials during covid and the other Medicare commercials that bombarded the airwaves? I am told that due to this mass advertising and many complaints there are now some new recording rules for agents/brokers.

If you called the 800 #’s on the advertisements, your information was most likely sold to a call center or agents/brokers who purchased lists to call those eligible for Medicare. WELL, those unsolicited calls to you (where you did not give an agent or agency permission to call you) is against our (as agents/brokers) compliance and regulations. NO ONE is supposed to be making sales call to you. You have to make the call(s) to reach out first to an agent/broker. Let the caller know that YOU KNOW that they violated their contract and permission was not given. Ask for the persons name, agency they work under, and their phone number so you can report them and Watch Them Hang Up Immediately. That’s one way to stop them calling!

Here it is:

New October 2022 required disclaimer:

“We do not offer every plan available in your area. Any information we provide is limited to those plans we do offer in your area.” “Please contact Medicare.gov or 1-800-MEDICARE to get information on all of your options.”

Let’s talk about something on a happier note …. Drinks !
