On October 13, 2021, the Social Security Administration (SSA) announced that the Cost-of-living-adjustment, or COLA, for 2022, would be 5.9%.

If you are a higher wage earner, the Income Related Monthly Adjustment Amounts (IRMAA) for 2022 would be:

Married couple making over $182,000 ………….. then you will be paying more for Part B and Part D (Rx) premiums, earning over these amounts.

Single person making over $91,000  ………….. then you will be paying more for Part B and Part D (Rx) premiums, earning over these amounts.

There is no contract agreement yet between Aetna and St. Joseph's. 

The article states it may not have an agreement in place before the end of the year. YIKES!

This applies to my clients (or referrals) who have an Aetna Medicare Advantage plan and have doctors affiliated with St. Joseph’s.

I am now contracted to offer and sell the St. Joseph’s MediGold Medicare Advantage plan. 

This plan is an HMO … NOT a PPO plan. MediGold is NOT offering any PPO plans. 

The MediGold plan is in NY state (and three other states) and NOT in Florida.

Scammers are calling beneficiaries and pretending to be with Medicare. The caller tells the beneficiary they need a new Medicare card because of COVID. The caller says they need to confirm a couple of things before sending the card, they then ask for the person’s Medicare number and the enrollment dates on the card. OR ... the caller states the current red, white, and blue Medicare card will be deactivated in three days, and then asks for the beneficiary’s Medicare number to issue the new COVID-19 card.
