Two great bills have been filed that would increase Louisiana's sovereignty and make the path to total independence smoother. Let's help pass these!

Rep. Michael T. Johnson (J.D.) of Pineville wrote this excellent bill HB 64 to help guard Louisiana sovereignty from being given away to the feds.

Rep. Jeff Wiley of Maurepas (Livingston Parish) wrote HB 120 to extend state laws that protect our National Guard to be extended also to our State Guard. This will encourage enrollment.
Both bills have been assigned to the Judiciary Committee. Please contact the chairman and vice-chair to ask them to let these bills get a hearing.

Louisiana Libertarians endorse Louisiana Independence Referendum
The Libertarian Party of Louisiana overwhelmingly approved a resolution calling for their state to hold a referendum on whether Louisiana should be independent of Washington DC, at their Central Committee meeting in Alexandria on January 25.
The resolution passed on Saturday justifies the need for a vote by listing three actions of the federal government: abandoning limited government, weaponizing government for political purposes, and sending Louisianans into “foreign wars that have questionable purpose and duration.”

Whereas the United States federal government has abandoned compliance to the concept of limited government as enshrined by our foundational documents – the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution, and
Whereas various agencies of the US federal government, namely the IRS, FBI, ATF, DEA, TSA, FDA, CDC, NIH, et al, have all been weaponized for political partisan purposes in such a way as to harm all American citizens, and
Whereas Louisianans are being sent as troops who are forced to participate in foreign wars that have questionable purpose and duration,
Now, therefore, be it resolved that the Libertarian Party of Louisiana calls on the Louisiana State Legislature to give the voters of Louisiana the opportunity to vote on whether or not Louisiana should, without initiating force, negotiate for independence from the United States federal government.

February 24, METAIRIE – Free Louisiana was represented at the 2025 Global Summit on Self-Determination Saturday by Larkin. “We’ve seen industries crippled by federal over-reach… and we’ve seen hostility toward our energy sectors… they put mandates on our businesses that does not make sense for Louisiana,” he said in his address to the conference. “People who want to just want to put food on the table and earn a living can’t, because of a foreign entity a thousand miles away… while Washington wastes our money on failed programs.”
“We get decay in our moral standards,” he added.

March 3 was the anniversary of the 1st Christian mass ever held in French Louisiana territory March 3, 1699. Louisiana was dedicated to God & country then. The mass was celebrated by Father Anastase Douay, and then the settlement of Louisiana began under Jean-Baptiste Le Moyne, sieur de Bienville and his brother Pierre Le Moyne d’Iberville, who landed near New Orleans on that date with Father Douay.
