Orinda Tree of Lights - Hospice of the East Bay

This ceremony is part of Orinda's community holiday celebration. Memorial names are not read at this ceremony.
Please visit our Tree of Lights event page   HERE to dedicate a memorial light or become a sponsor. Your support makes all the difference!

The event is also supported by the Chamber of Commerce and the Orinda School District. About 200 singers from local schools will sing at the event. Then Santa himself will arrive on a MOFD truck and will be happy to talk to the good children of Orinda before taking a picture with them.

Chamber Mixer - Holiday Party

SMC invites businesses and community groups of Lafayette, Moraga and Orinda for a special Lamorinda Night with a special ticket offer.

 Sutter Urgent Care Clinic in Orinda re-opens!

Starting today, Dec. 1, the urgent care center at 12 Camino Encinas is open from Noon to 8 p.m. Monday - Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and holidays.

"Sutter Urgent Care in Orinda offers a faster, convenient and economical alternative to going to the emergency room for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries," says Patricio Chavez, M.D., SEBMF Urgent Care Medical Director. "Our facility is staffed by physicians who can promptly evaluate and treat minor medical conditions."

Some of the conditions include:
Colds, coughs, sore throats, flu and flu-related symptoms; Vomiting, diarrhea; Sprains and strains; Cuts and abrasions; Ear and Urinary Tract Infections

Poet Laureate Program through the Lamorinda Arts Council

The Lamorinda Arts Council is thrilled to announce a Poet Laureate Program, which marks the first opportunity of its kind for the local literary community. The program is now accepting applications from professional poets who live in Orinda or Lafayette. Apply online at HERE

Lamorinda Arts Council hosts "Homage to my Grandmother" to honor Pam Glover

The Lamorinda Arts Council announces "Homage to my Grandmother" a special art showcase of the late artist Pam Glover's work along with a talk by her granddaughter, Janine Glover Ehrentraut.

Pam Glover is considered one of the most foremost plein air painters in California and she communicated her love for paintings always done outside in the open to raise awareness about this art form. More information HERE
