A Message from Our Principal
Dear St. Bernard’s Families,

We had a great Catholic Schools Week! It started with Sunday Mass and Open House and ended with Mass and our traditional Grandparents’ Day celebration. We began with the Lord and ended with the Lord. That is the way things are done here at St. Bernard’s. We ask for God’s guidance from beginning to end and He never disappoints.

Thank you to all the parents who volunteered taking care of refreshments for Open House, driving to St. George in Stockton for our Student Council Mass, preparing, serving, and cleaning up after our Grandparents’ Day brunch. When we work together, great things are possible.

Thank you to our teachers and staff for all their work behind the scenes preparing for Catholic Schools Week. Their love for our students and dedication to the ministry of Catholic education are greatly appreciated.

Thank you to our students; they are the reason why St. Bernard’s Catholic School exists. We take the responsibility to help them learn, lead, serve, and succeed very seriously. We are honored to have been called by God for such a mission. We cannot wait to see what these young men and women will become for the good of our society and our world. Catholic Christian leaders are much needed in a culture that continues to challenge the truth and Gospel values. We must not lose heart. Our children are the hope for our future. Let us have the courage to teach them what is right and pray to God for guidance.

Another Catholic Schools Week has come and gone, but the celebration of Catholic education continues every time our students show respect, kindness, forgiveness, and love of neighbor in their words and actions. May we all continue to learn with God’s guidance.

Peace,

Patty Paredes
