We have another graduate!! Amber is one of our moms who has completed and graduated Chosen. She has accomplished so much over the past three years while participating in our program for teen/young moms.

Amber, along with other Chosen graduates, has set and accomplished many goals thanks to the proven model we use from our affiliate, Teen Mother Choices International.

We have seen Amber grow and do/accomplish many things she thought she never could. We are so proud of her, the goals she set for herself and the hard work she put in to accomplish them:

- Married the father of her child
- Moved into her own apartment
- Completed WOW, a sexual abuse recovery program
- Overcame addiction
- Started a professional job
- Became a licensed Insurance Adjuster
- Purchased a vehicle
- Had an eye examination and purchased glasses she needed
- Became up-to-date on her medical care / annual appointments
- Lost 30 pounds

Amber is a determined, young woman and we can't wait to see what the Lord has planned for her next. Please join us in congratulating Amber on a job well done!
If you would like to help a teen/young parent like Amber beat the odds and smash the stereo type of teen/young moms, please financially partner with us.
Like Amber, there have been other teen/young moms who have graduated Chosen. They have become productive citizens in our community, thanks to ministry friends like you.

  • 100% graduate high school / receive GED
  • >70% attend college / trade school
  • 0% no longer require government assistance (unless still in college)
  • <3% have repeat pregnancies

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Amy Armstrong for her time, dedication, and service within the teen/young parent programs over the past four years; two years as a Chosen mentor and two years as Parent Programs Coordinator. Even though we will miss her within these programs, we are thankful to be able to utilize her gifts in another capacity within Still Waters. We thank God for Amy and the heart he has given her for ministry, as well as, her continued dedication to Still Waters!

Robyn Warren-Jacobs has accepted the position as Parent Programs Coordinator. She is not a new face at Still Waters. Robyn has been a committed and dedicated volunteer of Still Waters since 2015 and has served as a child care ministry volunteer, mentor and Chosen class facilitator. She has made an impact in the lives of many teen/young moms over the years and we can't wait to see how the Lord uses her in the days ahead as she oversees the parent programs.

Please join us in welcoming Robyn as our newest staff member!
God continues to move in the hearts of students who we have the privilege of educating about their self-worth and character development. It blesses us to know that students are empowered by the things they are learning and feel led to share their experience with us. Here are just a handful of comments we have received from students, administration and an i am ENOUGH partner:

  • "The impact of Still Waters is noticeable and POSITIVE. You're presentations have raised awareness for staff, opened the door for follow-up conversations, and supported students on a social and emotional level." - A. McAfee, Principal

  • "The i am ENOUGH program is working for our community. Our administration references it ALL the time in meetings, program discussions, and in the newspaper." - i am ENOUGH Partner in Virginia

  • "The i am ENOUGH program has helped me because it has got me out of depression and because of Still Waters, I have accepted Christ into my life, so thank you. Thank you for always coming here and spreading joy, kindness and last but not least, love."

  • "The i am ENOUGH program has helped me because I've learned that I am beautiful and that I am valuable."

  • "The i am ENOUGH program has helped me because Still Waters teaches us how to become young, respectful men and now we know how to be a leader, protector, and warrior."

  • "The i am ENOUGH program has helped me because I know now that I have a life with purpose and how to act like a man."

With God's grace and goodness, Still Waters was able to spread the i am ENOUGH message to >2,400 middle school boys and girls during the 2018-2019 school year.

Thank you to each and every ministry partner who makes it possible for us to educate today's youth about their worth and how incredibly special they are. We couldn't do what we do without our ministry friends and partners like you.

We were excited that Heartbeat International's Annual Conference was held in Dallas this year so that our staff could attend and be encouraged/educated in the work of life affirming ministry. During the past few years, we have attended as an Exhibitor. However, this year, we were blessed to participate in the many workshops that were offered.

We thank God for our new i am ENOUGH partners that joined forces with us in spreading the i am ENOUGH message. We are blessed to have another domestic and international partner! Please join us in welcoming our new friends from Life Choices in Idaho (bottom right) and Pearls of Hope in Zimbabwe (bottom left).

God has allowed Still Waters to serve and further His Kingdom in Kaufman County and beyond. We are forever grateful for the experience He has allowed us to have with Him and those He leads to us.
