The Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry are in need of two volunteers to help with

unloading supplies on the third Tuesday of every month. Arrival time of the shipment is between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m.

The soup kitchen is also looking for Friday Food Lion pick up drivers once or twice a month. It takes about an hour to load your vehicle with donations from Food Lion and deliver them to the church.

Home Communion kits will be blessed next Sunday,

September 6.

If your kit needs to be refilled, please leave it in the Sacristy by Thursday morning, September 3.

Congregational Brunch

There will be a congregational brunch on Sunday, September 13, at 10:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Center.

The meal will be catered by Howard's on Main. This will be our opening celebration as we begin our 125th year of ministry in Greenwood. We ask that you please make a reservation for the meal by e-mailing Dr. Will by Tuesday, September 8.

LMIM will meet at Immanuel on Saturday, September 12,

at 9 a.m. Our guest and informal speaker will be Jim Morgan. He will be telling us about his experience at the age of nine witnessing the attack on Pearl Harbor along with his mother.
