Investor Events Today: How to Maximize Impact with Technology
Investor events have come a long way from the powerpoint slide decks of the past.  For one thing, they are extremely personalized and dynamic ---with companies striving to maximize the various technological tools that can generate a buzz at these formerly staid events. These tools range from the very presentations themselves, which can now feature embedded videos and links that literally bring life to the formerly flat information, to the heavy use of interactive devices, enhanced audio materials and even more dynamic seating and presenter setups.

Gerdau Investor Day

Gerdau held its Investor Day at the New York Stock Exchange and also celebrated the 20th Anniversary of its listing. The event was hosted by Mr. Gustavo Werneck, CEO, Mr. Harley Scardoelli, CFO and Mr. Chia Yuan Wang, CEO of North America Business Division. The management team went through all the initiatives achieved in recent years which brought Gerdau to where it is now; a leaner and more structured company, focused on its main assets and leading the innovation in the steel industry. An outlook in terms of strategy going forward and prospects across its main markets was also provided during the investor presentation.  The venue was decorated with mock-up facades of Comercial Gerdau - the company's hardware stores throughout Brazil, and included a virtual tour of the Fort Smith Mill in Arkansas. To honor the occasion, Gerdau concluded the event by ringing The Closing Bell .

Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico Investor Day

Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico (GAP), a Mexican airport operator headquartered in Guadalajara, celebrated its 20 year Anniversary by hosting its annual Investor Day for the investing market at its Tijuana Airport. During the event, participants enjoyed an interactive tour of the airport's newly remodeled facilities and visited the Cross Border Xpress (CBX) that joins San Diego, CA and Tijuana, Mexico.
 
Presentations and Q&A session were conducted by top management, including CEO, Raul Revuelta and CFO, Saul Villarreal, among others. The event concluded with a special guest appearance by Rafael Fernández de Castro, Director at the Center for U.S.-Mexican Studies and former foreign policy advisor, who gave his insights on 'Bilateral Border Relations between Mexico and U.S'.
 
Moreover, the night previous to the event, the company hosted a welcome cocktail and dinner at The Searsucker in San Diego for buy-side and sell-side analysts.

Suzano Day 2019

Suzano, a major Brazilian paper producer and the world's leading producer of eucalyptus pulp, celebrated its ADR (American Depositary Receipts) listing on the New York Stock Exchange with The Opening Bell Ceremony. The ceremony was followed by the first-ever Suzano Investor Day. During the event, Mr. Walter Schalka, CEO and other members of the senior management team gave presentations regarding Suzano, which was created in January 2019 through the merger of Suzano Papel e Celulose and Fibria Celulose. Details about the structure and competitive advantages of the new company, comments on growth alternatives and the importance of innovation, technology and sustainability for the future of Suzano were the main topics discussed.
 
The new company is the world's largest producer of market pulp and one of Latin America's largest paper producers, selling to more than 80 countries and, through its products, present in the lives of over 2 billion people.
