Getting Acquainted with Discovery is a two week course for anyone who wants to become a member or just wants to know more about Discovery Church. Some of the topics covered are expectations for members, looking at our doctrinal statement and how we are governed. Class will be held September 9 and 16 at 9:00 AM in the worship center.
DiscoveryZone for Kids, for children age 4 years through 5th grade, meets regularly on Wednesdays at 6:30 in the basement.

Women’s Bible Study 9:00 AM, Thursday, September 13. We will watch video #8 “. . . With Faith.”  All women are encouraged to attend. Childcare is available.

Elder team addition Taylor O'Bryan is being considered for the office of Elder at Discovery. Covenant Members have until September 11 to express any concerns to the Elder team. Please pray as we seek more Elder leaders at Discovery. 
WORSHIP NIGHT IN YANKTON , from the same band that brought you “Tragedy to Triumph”, will be leading a night of worship on Wednesday, September 19, 6:30 PM, Yankton High School. This can be a night of outreach -- INVITE friends, family, co-workers and neighbors.
Ladies - You are invited to a morning brunch, followed by a fun activity of your choice. We will have 3 stations & you choose which one you would like to be in: CARDS -- make greeting cards to take home or COOKIE DECORATING -- learn the art of decorating simple but beautiful cookies or CRAFT-- paint an 11x16 picture to take home. Samples of the cards and the craft/painting are at the back door. BE SURE TO SIGN UP AT THE BACK TABLE so supplies will be on hand when you get here on Saturday, September 22, 9AM.
MATH IS FUN! The Yankton Area Literacy Council needs volunteers to tutor elementary age students at Stewart, Lincoln, Beadle and Webster schools. This is a 1 hour a week opportunity. If you are interested please contact Veronica Trezona or Patty Stuelpnagel at 605-760-4803 or
Walnut Street is closed due to construction. During the week you may park in the five spots directly behind Discovery, the city parking lot, behind Ben’s Brewery, or on the street. Sundays and evenings you may park in the parking lot behind Discovery, the bank parking lot, the VFW parking lot, the city parking lot, or on the street.
