A Sneak peak into what is happening in our classes

Puppy Explorer

This is a class where your puppy will learn to work off leash and follow you through a course full of obstacles and equipment. The goal of this class is to build confidence, body awareness, focus and trust, all while still having fun! This is great for puppies 6 months old and younger.

Puppy Basics & Beyond

This class is for puppies from 10 weeks up to under one year old. Your puppy will learn commands using distance, distractions, and duration. We will address any behavioral issues and how to correct them as well. We will explain it in a way that will not change the personality of the dog.

Pictured above is Puppy, Mini Bernedoodle, at his vets appointment. It is important to teach your puppy not to jump, bite, bark and to stay calm when handled by another person. Your visits to your veterinarian should not be stressful for you and your dog, and your vet will also thank you.

Level one Agility 101/Obedience Class

The goal of this class is to have the ability to work your dog off leash with the capability to perform complex commands at a distance. In this class your dog will build confidence, body awareness, trust, focus, and strength.

Videos are of Bella who's leg was amputated in early April 2022. Two weeks later, she was adopted to a wonderful family that understands her physical and mental needs. Above, you can see Bella learning how to gain confidence in Jackie's class.

Therapy Dog Whopper

Pictured above is Whopper is a 6 ½ year old Daniff, Great Dane/English Mastiff.

Whopper started agility training at Jackie’s around 18 months and we became therapy certified around 2 ½. He loves Jackie’s so he currently attends an agility/dance class once a week.

During the school year, Whopper visits Club Blvd Elementary weekly as well as NCSSM a couple times a month. He also visits Cary Academy, Apex High, Alston Middle School, NC State, Wake Tech, GiGi's Playhouse and nursing homes as needed. If you wanted to read to Whopper, he would love to lie down next to you and sleep. He enjoys participating in yoga with the kids, lead them through agility courses, and his new favorite, playing "Stop and Go". He can touch his colors and certain colors coincide with certain emotions. So, you can ask him how he is feeling and he can touch the color to let you know! He can read cards to! Yes, you heard it right. He can read "sit," "down," "stand," and we are working on "turn around." Don't mention to Whopper that the therapy sessions are for kids, he really thinks they are for him
