CAEP Deliverable Reminders


CAEP Quarter 4 Student Data


The Quarter 4 student data is due by July 15, 2025 in TOPSPro for K-12 CAEP adult education providers and WIOA-funded community college noncredit providers.

CAEP Quarter 3 Expense Report

The Quarter 3 member expenditure report is due in NOVA on June 1, 2025. The consortium will have until June 30, 2025 to certify the report.


Three-Year Plan 2025-28

The 2025-28 TYP is due in Nova by June 20, 2025.


Annual Plan for 2025-26

The 2025-26 Annual Plan is due in NOVA by August 15, 2025. The Annual Plan is a subset of the CAEP 2025-28 Three-Year Plan.

Grossmont Adult Education, A Campus-wide IET Model for Healthcare Training



Consortia Involved:

San Diego East Region Adult Education Consortium


The Health Occupations Center (HOC), part of Grossmont Adult Education (GAE), offers 12 CTE training programs for health occupations including certified nursing assistant (CNA), clinical & administrative medical assistant, dental assistant (RDA), emergency medical technician (EMT-B), healthcare interpreting, home health aide (HHA), licensed vocational nursing (LVN), medical office professional, patient care aide (PCA), pharmacy technician (PTCB), phlebotomy technician & medical lab assistant (CPT-I), and veterinary assistant (AVA). The integration of CTE Anchor Standards with EL instruction enhances student learning by focusing on practical skills like patient communication and resume writing. By utilizing Canvas LMS, instructors can provide tailored modules to address literacy and language development needs while differentiating instruction based on student responses and understanding. This approach ensures effective and targeted skill-building for students.

Applications are open for the CAEP Consortium Leadership Academy (CLA)! The intended applicant is new to their role within the last 3 years. If you believe the CLA is perfect for you, but fall outside that criteria email TAP to discuss additional options.


The application window will close June 15, 2025 and notifications will be sent out at the end of June. The CLA program was created to build the capacity of consortia leads, directors, and co-chairs to effectively lead their consortium through a student-centered leadership approach.

Upcoming CAEP Professional Learning Events


CALPRO Training-of-Trainers (ToT) Institute

The application for the CALPRO Training-of-Trainers (ToT) institute that will take place online (Moodle) between June 9 and June 30th AND at the CALPRO office in Sacramento on Monday and Tuesday, June 23-24, 2025, is now open. The ToT is for the new community of practice (CoP) on Fundamentals of Adult Education Instruction. Accepted participants agree to become a CALPRO trainer.


The CoP aims to equip instructors in adult education programs with the practical tools and strategies needed to implement evidence-based instruction that meets the varied needs of adult learners.

The objectives include:

(1) using various data to design instruction that leverages adult learners’ strengths and motivations,

(2) developing and using formative assessments effectively,

(3) designing learner-centered differentiated classroom activities, and

(4) planning lessons to meet instructional goals.

Donna Price is back with her engaging “gamify” presentation. This session will focus on online classes! Want to add some additional games, mixers, and other communicative activities to your teaching palette? Join Donna Price as she shares activities that reinforce the ELPS for adult education. She will share five standards and demonstrate game-like activities for online classes that address the standard. Adaptable to any level, these activities reinforce listening, speaking, reading, writing, vocabulary, and grammar to prepare students for standardized tests that are based on the ELPS.


Teaching in the Age of AI-Everything You Wanted to Know But Were Afraid to Ask

These convenings are designed to provide timely updates to and collect information from attendees regarding the GED and HiSET exams. The California Department of Education (CDE) invites chief examiners, test site administrators, school counselors, and others with a connection to the high school equivalency and proficiency programs to join us.  Feel free to share this informational flyer (PDF) with others.

Consortium Directors' Peer Learning Circle (PLC)


The Consortium Directors' Peer Learning Circles serve as a specialized forum for Consortium Leads, Co-Leads, Managers, and Directors. This platform offers a unique space to engage in discussions on challenges, queries, and distinctive scenarios frequently experienced by Consortium Leads, who often navigate the complexities of both the Community College noncredit system and the K12 system. It provides an invaluable opportunity for leads from across California to exchange ideas, find thought partners, and disseminate strategies and best practices, thereby fostering excellence throughout the state.


Please use this form to express areas of interest for future PLC's.

Directors' Corner | Discussion

The Directors' Corner serves as an online platform designed to promote the exchange of ideas and facilitate access to colleagues throughout the state. Additionally, the Canvas Course is a repository of consolidated resources for Consortium Leads/Directors. This platform aims to foster a robust networking environment, allowing for the seamless sharing of queries, resources, and insights on various scenarios among directors throughout the State.
