The Quarter 4 member expenditure report was due in NOVA on September 1, 2025. The consortium will have until September 30, 2025 to certify the report.

CAER: A New Community Partnership Resource Portal for Adult Education


Consortia Involved:

 Ventura County Adult Education Consortium

This model program streamlines the process of identifying and connecting with nonprofit partners by utilizing rich, filtered data from ProPublica's Nonprofit Explorer API. With access to detailed funding insights and mission alignment tools, school leaders can easily foster impactful collaborations. To learn more about how this program can enhance adult education initiatives, explore the full framework and its practical applications.

CAEP Summit 2025, taking place September 24–26, 2025, at the Anaheim Marriott in Anaheim, California. This year’s Summit focus—Building Bridges to Success: Innovate, Integrate, Impact—underscores the integrated and impactful strategies California Adult Education Programs are using to expand access, close equity gaps, and support adult learners in reaching their academic and career aspirations.


The California Adult Education Program Summit 2025 is where innovation meets influence. It’s where practitioners and leaders come together to surface bold ideas, elevate breakthrough practices, and drive lasting change across the adult education system.


Ven al Cafe con Pan

Ven al Cafe con Pan is a SVAEC series of presentations for students, community members, adult schools and the general public. The event is provided due to requests from the SVAEC Student Council. All presentations will be recorded and shared with those that register for Ven al Cafe con Pan. 


Ven a Cafe con pan is an event organized by the Salinas Valley Adult Education Consortium. The event is open to students, teachers and the community at large.

Refill Your Cup: Wellness Tools for Teachers and ALL Who Support Students

Join LARAEC and LearnED via Zoom on Tuesday, September 30th from 12:30-2:30pm for some self-care.


This interactive and informative virtual session is designed especially for educators. Participants will learn how to:

Foster resilience through mindfulness and intentional self care

Recognize and understand secondary trauma and its impact on teachers

LARAEC is sponsoring the third Los Angeles Regional Adult Education Allied Health Collaborative


Saturday, October 4th from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. 

Location: Van de Kamp Innovation Center in Los Angeles. 


This free and in-person event is open to allied health teachers, faculty, directors, administrators, and program developers from throughout Southern California. The Allied Health Collaborative is designed to be a day of networking, sharing, collaboration, and discussing problems of practice. Lunch will be provided, and the day will include:

  • panel discussion on measuring student success: How do we track program data and student outcomes to support ongoing program development?
  • breakout hot topic sessions: connecting to clinical sites, setting up agreements, and maintaining partnerships; onboarding students-costs and meeting students needs financially; creating pre-allied health pathways, and much more
  • opportunities to talk with key allied healthcare exhibitors 
  • dedicated time to meet and collaborate with other allied health practitioners

Trauma-informed Instruction Webinar Series

Join LARAEC and Sherry Mackay of LearnED  via Zoom on Tuesdays from 12:30-2:30pm on October 14th, 21st, and 28th; November 4th and 18th; and December 2nd. This series of 6 zoom webinars covers all aspects of implementing trauma-informed practices in the classroom.  Each webinar is interrelated, but registrants can attend one or all 6. Topics covered include:

CAEP Directors' Corner

Consortium Directors' Peer Learning Circle (PLC)


The Consortium Directors' Peer Learning Circles serve as a specialized forum for Consortium Leads, Co-Leads, Managers, and Directors. This platform offers a unique space to engage in discussions on challenges, queries, and distinctive scenarios frequently experienced by Consortium Leads, who often navigate the complexities of both the Community College noncredit system and the K12 system. It provides an invaluable opportunity for leads from across California to exchange ideas, find thought partners, and disseminate strategies and best practices, thereby fostering excellence throughout the state.


Please use this form to express areas of interest for future PLC's.

Directors' Corner | Discussion

The Directors' Corner serves as an online platform designed to promote the exchange of ideas and facilitate access to colleagues throughout the state. Additionally, the Canvas Course is a repository of consolidated resources for Consortium Leads/Directors. This platform aims to foster a robust networking environment, allowing for the seamless sharing of queries, resources, and insights on various scenarios among directors throughout the State.
