At Timothy:
God With Us “Our Shepherd” is the theme of our Advent Services this week! We are making some changes to the Advent schedule this year. We will continue to have an evening meal and service at 7:00 p.m. We are adding a service at 4:30 p.m. This will enable the “early service” worshippers to share the Advent meal and fellowship with those who attend the “late” service. At 11 a.m. we will continue to have a shortened Advent worship and Sing-a-long for those who need to travel during daylight hours
Noah Away Today
Noah is at Immanuel Lutheran in Washington, MO today. This congregation has Sheba Comfort Dog and is having a birthday party for her. Noah will join Tabby Comfort Dog and Sheba to greet people before and after worship services and for a special Sunday School presentation.
Gift and Card Trees are in the narthex. Please stop by and pick up a star (to bring a gift) or a set of labels (to send cards) to our Timothy shut-ins. They always appreciate it.

Poinsettias are available this Christmas season. You may take them home after the New Year. Sign-up sheets are in the two entryways. They are available for $12 each. Please make checks payable to Timothy.
Welcome to the Family
This morning we welcome to the family through the Rite of Holy Baptism, Ephrathah Olana Kumessa, daughter of Olana Kumessa Yadessa and Bethelhem Lechith Chemeda. Her sponsor is Georgea Clarks.
Bible Study
Ladies Bible Study
Ladies Bible study will meet at Noon for a Christmas party at Louise Tiemann’s on December 18. Drinks and soup will be provided. Please bring a dish to share.
Council Notes
Council approved a new Facility Usage Policy, with thanks to Greg Poppitz for putting this policy together. All current “renters” will complete the appropriate forms before January 1, 2019.
The Voters Assembly on Sunday, January 13 at 12:15 p.m. will consider three important items of business. Supporting documents will be distributed electronically via Constant Contact and written copies will be available in the narthex and church office:
1.      2019 Budget
2.      Minor Amendments to the by-laws of Timothy’s Constitution to bring the by-laws into conformity with current practice.
3.      Election of Elders, Council Members, and representatives to the WOL School Board
Prayer for Our Stephen Ministry
James tells us that the prayers of righteous people are powerful and effective (James 5:16). During the coming weeks, we invite you to pray for those God is calling to serve as caregivers in our Stephen Ministry. For more information about Stephen Ministry, contact Pastor Bill, Jane Cauchon, Judith Meyer, or Nanette Dost. Classes begin Sunday, January 6.
Around Town:
“LHSS Christmas Choir Concert
The Choirs of Lutheran High School South invite you to their annual Christmas Concert on Sunday evening, December 16, at 7 p.m . The concert will be performed in the beautiful historic sanctuary at Concordia Lutheran Church in Kirkwood. Come hear the Lancer Singers and Junior Singers, along with the Concert Choir, present songs of the season. The audience will join on several carols throughout the concert. An offering will be received and a cookie reception will conclude the evening. Please allow extra time for parking and walking at the site because of ongoing construction.
