For global investors, the volatility of the Dow Jones looks less like the healthy economic movement of the top industrial average index in the world and more like the EKG of a cardiogenic shock patient flailing hopelessly between the boundaries of life and death. Vale, a Brazilian multinational diversified metals and mining corporation and one of the largest logistics operators in Brazil, held the 16th edition of its investor day at The New York Stock Exchange with the presence of top buy-side and sell-side market participants. Additionally, the company also held a press conference for the most prominent metals and mining media outlets from the U.S. andBrazil. Mr. Fabio Schvartsman, Chief Executive Officer, as well as other members of the senior management used this opportunity to highlight Vale's value and optionality in base metals, its value proposition for coal and iron ore, as well as its sustainability initiatives.
