Dear #W4S Community,

One of the four pillars in the Caring Economy is the importance of high quality education from early childhood and June will be full of activities related to this point. It is fundamental in the construction of a more egalitarian society and, furthermore, it is our duty to give the value they deserve to the care tasks performed by those people - mainly women - who are responsible for the education of kids.

On the opposite hand of banking education and one-way learning, where the child is understood as a box where teachers deposit knowledge, today we have alternatives that focus on socio-emotional skills and on the student as a person with rights.
This month we will share a Webinar with Narda Pitkethly (June 15), who has developed the Nardagani program to teach how to read with an innovative method, designed for kids and adults who suffer Dislexia, ADHD, and PTSD.

The program is made up of 12 simple symbols, which are used behind the letters, and tell the reader what sound to play. Students learn a few symbols at a time, and memorize them through exercises, games, and books coded in the same way.
On the other hand, we will also enjoy a Webinar with Ina Grasmane (June 30) to learn about an educational approach called «Pedagogy of love».

The novelty of this pedagogy is the integration of therapeutic methods applied in the pedagogical process of a child, increasing self-confidence and working with a psychological approach. This proposal seeks to develop the intellect at its multiple levels: emotional, spiritual, rational, musical, artistic, motional, verbal, intellectual.

We invite you to join these co-construction spaces, to think together how we can promote a better society with equal opportunities, starting from early childhood.

In addition, here we are sharing our webinars about “NONFLICT" (CLICK HERE), an ideal conflict resolution methodology to apply with children, and “Think Equal" (CLICK HERE), a simple guide for teachers who work with children from 3 to 6 years old and want to empower them to generate change.
