| | Cincinnati Pride is one of few local Prides that is still free, despite being as large as it is. With recent DEIA initiatives by many corporations being cut, the Cincinnati Pride Board made the decision to release certain sponsorships. Many believe we cannot put on the same event without those corporate dollars, but we know this community better than that. Please join us - show your support of our beloved festival (Cincinnati CityBeat's #1 festival 3 years running!) by volunteering and/or donating. No one person puts on Pride - this is a collaboration of thousands! | | Modern Military Association of America | | |

(COLUMBUS, Ohio) – The Ohio Department of Development today announced the launch of CyberSECURE, a new program designed to help small businesses strengthen their cybersecurity and prepare for upcoming changes in federal contracting requirements.
“We’ve seen firsthand the devastating impact cyberattacks can have on hardworking businesses, putting their operations and bottom line at risk,” said Lydia Mihalik, Director of Development. “That’s why we’re providing Ohio’s entrepreneurs with the tools they need to strengthen their cybersecurity, protect their businesses, and unlock new opportunities in the defense market.”
CyberSECURE is part of Governor DeWine’s CyberOhio initiative, which was created to enhance cybersecurity practices across state agencies and local entities. Through a partnership with Ohio APEX Accelerators and the Ohio Small Business Development Centers, the new CyberSECURE program provides up to 60 hours of free, one-on-one consulting to help businesses improve their digital security, establish or maintain their presence in the defense marketplace, and navigate new Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) 2.0 requirements.
The U.S. Department of Defense is implementing CMMC 2.0, which will soon require companies seeking government contracts to be federally certified in cybersecurity. This certification is designed to enforce the protection of sensitive unclassified information shared by the Department with its contractors and subcontractors.
While the CyberSECURE program does not serve as a third-party certification entity, it leverages the Ohio APEX Accelerator network and the Ohio Small Business Development Centers to offer eligible companies an initial 10 hours of free consultation with qualified cybersecurity professionals on tailored cybersecurity protection strategies and comprehensive cybersecurity assessments.
Eligibility:
- For-profit businesses in Ohio
- Independently owned and operated for at least one year
- Between two and 500 employees (or meet applicable Small Business Administration size standards)
- Registered with a local Small Businesses Development Center and/or Ohio APEX Accelerator
- Expanding into commercial and government markets
Eligible companies can apply for the program through the Development website. For questions about the program contact cyberSECURE@development.ohio.gov.
The Ohio Department of Development empowers communities to succeed by investing in Ohio’s people, places, and businesses. Learn more about our work at development.ohio.gov.

Rosenthal Shelterhouse Theatre

The ingredients for the cake are simple: eggs, butter, sugar, salt. Look closer, though, and you’ll see the essence of life itself. Every year, Ernestine bakes a cake and celebrates with her family on her birthday — a delicious ritual that unfolds onstage across 90 years of birthdays. We meet Ernestine and the people who sweeten her life every year on this day as she grows from 17 to 107 years old. Through glimpses of Ernestine’s life as the years go by, Birthday Candles tenderly explores motherhood, family, love, loss and finding your place in the universe. This charming new play, recently performed on Broadway, will warm the soul.
