October 14th - A great day of tourism for our Leadership Cherokee Class of 2022.
Visited Orbix Hot Glass to "Blow Your Own Ornament." We had a wonderful lunch at Woody's Grill in Dogtown, on our way to tour JSU Little River Canyon Center. Thanks to Anna Lindsey, Steve Black, and Beth Sewell for the education about
Little River Canyon National Preserve, the Canyon Center, black bears, the picture plant and so much more.

Youth Leadership Cherokee 2021-2022
Kicked off their year with a get acquainted day at the Cherokee Co Chamber of Commerce office. Students are pictured with local musician and speaker Chad Steed
Juniors from each of the five public high schools located in Cherokee County are selected to participate. The program is designed to prepare and build leadership resources within our entire county. This select group is comprised of young and emerging leaders of the area. They will receive an intense view of civic and governmental leadership through direct contact with a wide spectrum of institutions that keep Cherokee County solvent and moving forward. Youth Leadership Cherokee is a program of the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce. Joy Perry is the director.
