October Council Monthly News:
1. Good News from Mother’s Day Out. Director, Kara Emerson has been making several updates qualifying the program for a new certification. Council is pleased because the new transformations will be a good recruiting tool for families interested in joining the program, offering improved safety for the children. With the help of her team and Mark Thompson, several physical plant changes have been made. Great job, Kara!
2. Council voted to purchase a new sound and projection system for the Multipurpose Room. The new wireless system will include a new projector (optimizing brightness) and wall mounted speakers providing crisp audio. All of our bible study leaders and attendees will enjoy the new AV system!
3. It is with sadness that the Council has accepted the resignation of Phil Ebeling. Phil has served on council for almost four years and has provided our group with much insight and advice. Council thanks Phil for his service, likewise if you see Phil, please thank him for his service to Timothy.

Do you love popcorn? Do you love supporting your favorite Cub Scout(s), or our men and women in the Armed Forces? Cub Pack 34, chartered by Ascension Lutheran Church, is selling popcorn. This important activity provides funds for the awards our Cub Scouts earn, camping experiences, off-site Pack activities, and the general supplies needed. You can help support Cub Pack 34 two ways. You can order popcorn from any Cub Scout, or you can purchase popcorn TODAY… Sunday, October 21st. The Scouts will be ready to sell you popcorn after both services. Cub Scouts will have a "Show and Sell" display set up in the foyer. Popcorn prices range from $10.00 to $60.00, depending on size and flavor. And if you don't personally like popcorn, you can purchase popcorn for our men and women in the military! Through the military donation option, the popcorn you buy is sent to military personnel, their families or select Veterans organizations. Thank you for your support!
