Going Above and Beyond In Learning and Serving

October 23, 2025

NO SCHOOL TOMORROW, FRIDAY, OCTOBER 24

A Note From Mrs. Hibler:

Next week is one of my favorite times of the year, Halloween!

Our staff members have some amazing costumes planned and I can't wait to see all the students in their Halloween costumes.

Please read the information below about Spirit Week and Halloween guidelines.

Please note this schedule change for next week:

We will attend our weekly Mass on THURSDAY, October 30th.

Junior High students do not need to wear mass uniforms as it is Spirit Week.

We will be on a regular schedule for Friday, October 31st,

to accommodate our Halloween celebrations.

A Note From Our Nurse:

Cough and cold season is here! If your child is ill, has a fever, is coughing up yellow or green mucus, or has thick drainage from their nose, please keep them home until they show signs of feeling better.

Cough Drops Reminder: If your child needs cough drops during the school day, a supply may be sent in along with a NOTE stating home many they may have per day and a parent signature; cough drops must be kept in the clinic, not with the student.

Medication Reminder: If a student needs medication during the school day, you MUST contact the clinic and complete proper paperwork before sending it in. Students may not carry meds in their backpacks, lunch boxes, or pockets!

If you have any questions or are unsure about something, please contact me at jjanuzzi@stjudejaguars.org or 440-366-1681.

Halloween Celebration

Friday, October 31

Students may dress in costumes, but may not have weapons or scary masks. Students may wear non-scary masks for the parade, but are not permitted to wear masks during the school day. Costumes should be able to be worn all day; inflatables are permitted, but please send a change of clothes in case they become too much.

You may choose to send in candy or a treat to be passed out, as student will receive a bag to bring home any goodies, but it must follow these guidelines:

  • Store bought
  • Individually packaged by the manufacturer
  • No cupcakes/cookies, etc. that are unwrapped or homemade
  • Anything that does not follow the guidelines will be sent back with that student.

All grades will have a party or fun break, please see your newsletters from the homeroom teachers for class specific information.
