We are pleased to share some of our latest projects in our ongoing mission to enhance affordable housing and community development.

Apollo Theater


Goldstein Hall was proud to serve as counsel to The Apollo Theater Foundation, Inc. in the $65 million redevelopment of the iconic Apollo Theater in Harlem, NY. This first full-scale renovation in the theater’s 91-year history was financed through New Markets and Historic Tax Credits, along with city and state funding. Goldstein Hall advised on tax credit financing, drafted key documents, secured approvals, and negotiated critical agreements to support this transformative cultural project.

MBD West Apartments

.

Goldstein Hall served as project counsel to MBD Community Housing Corporation in the $169 million redevelopment of MBD West Apartments, a four-site affordable housing project in the Bronx featuring 170 units—70% of which are designated for CityFHEPS-eligible tenants through a long-term HRA contract.

Qwest Towers

.

Goldstein Hall served as project counsel to Qwest Towers LLC, a joint venture of Stagg Group and Simone Development Companies, in the $158 million development in Mt. Vernon, NY—delivering 229 affordable apartments, 3,066 sq.ft. of retail, and major community improvements.



Victory Terrace Apartments


Goldstein Hall served as project counsel to RNY Construction and Construction LLC in this 75-unit all-electric affordable housing project in Staten Island, NY, featuring supportive housing for individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities and a NYSERDA grant for Passive House design.

Goldstein Hall Represents UJO at Historic Groundbreaking


Goldstein Hall is proud to represent the United Jewish Organizations (UJO) of Williamsburg in the groundbreaking of their first-ever owned headquarters at 498 Bedford Avenue. This $9.3 million, five-story project will expand UJO’s capacity to serve the Williamsburg community with vital programs and services.


Goldstein Hall Serves as Project Counsel for Kingston City Land Bank's Completion of Affordable Homeownership Project


Goldstein Hall is proud to serve as Project Counsel in the completion of the final two homes in the Kingston City Land Bank’s Keystone Affordable Homeownership Program, located at 52 Grand Street and 488 Hasbrouck Avenue in Kingston, NY. Priced at $149,995, the most affordable in the program’s history. These fully renovated homes will expand access to affordable homeownership and support neighborhood revitalization in Kingston.

2025 Neighborhood Preservation Coalition of New York State Inc, (NPCNYS) Conference

Goldstein Hall will participate in the NPCNYS Conference at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Poughkeepsie. Panelists David Goldstein and Ellen Clemot will lead a discussion on community responses to ICE raids, sharing legal insights, practical tools, and strategies to protect housing and support vulnerable residents facing immigration enforcement.

2025 Fall Conference - Asian American Bar Association of New York

September 27, 2025


Jane Chuang, Senior Counsel at Goldstein Hall, will be speaking at the 2025 AABANY Fall Conference on the topic: "Living in the New York City of Yes – Housing for Everyone: A Model in Real Estate Urban Planning." This program will focus on the "City of Yes for Housing Opportunity," New York City’s most ambitious zoning reform in decades. The discussion will explore how the initiative could transform housing development and significantly expand affordable housing across the city.

On August 12, Goldstein Hall PLLC hosted Part II of its timely webinar on immigration enforcement and housing stability. Speakers David Goldstein, Ellen Clemot, Meghan Boland, and Betty Huang shared legal insights, practical tools, and community-based strategies to help protect tenants and support vulnerable residents amid ongoing ICE activity.

CHAM 2025 Asset Management Conference


Goldstein Hall Senior Counsel Darryl Austin spoke at the CHAM 2025 Asset Management Conference (June 9-11) during the session “Year 15: A Refresher on LPAs and Financials.” He shared insights on navigating Year 15 challenges, unique deal structures, and key financial considerations in a lively and informative session that featured real-world examples.

ULI New York: Access to Capital: Making the Case for Diversity Conference


On June 24th, Goldstein Hall Partner Niki Tsismenakis attended and spoke at the ULI New York: Access to Capital – Making the Case for Diversity conference. She joined industry leaders to discuss the barriers faced by BIPOC and female developers, emphasizing how diversity in development leads to stronger financial returns.

On July 30th, Meghan Boland and Rachel Jaffe led a session on what happens when an HDFC shareholder dies without a will. Without proper planning, ownership doesn’t transfer automatically—leading to potential court involvement. The webinar covered steps to help families and HDFCs avoid legal delays.
