Small Employers and the FFCRA...
Q. Our total workforce is made up of 26 employees, and we do not have a Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) policy in place. Under the recently approved Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA), do we need to adopt a full FMLA policy, or can we simply comply with the income protection features of this temporary federal legislation?

In just seeing the agenda and the speaker line-up, I’m looking forward to the employment conference in May. There’s a lot of recent changes happening in the working environment around us today, I believe some of these changes will revolutionize how employers house employees. The current pandemic has forced employers to move toward a remote work basis which will trickle into all aspects of employment, so kicking off the Missouri Employment Conference with a webinar seems to fit the theme of the new adjustments that employers are going to have to adapt to. It will be a great event with plenty of new insight and ideas, even remotely accessed.

I am looking forward to May in general, but also to learning a lot from the employment webinar that’s going to be a great step into the beginning of a new era of employment.
