How HR Executives and Operations Managers Can Take Their Careers to the Next Level in Manufacturing
| | |
Panel interviews often spark mixed reactions. For candidates, they can feel a little like being put under a spotlight—trying to answer questions from multiple people while keeping track of names, roles, and personalities. For hiring teams, they sometimes end up disorganized or redundant.
But when they’re structured with intention, panel interviews are one of the most powerful tools you have in the hiring process. They provide diverse perspectives, streamline scheduling, and help reduce unconscious bias.

You’ve put hours into your resume, but here’s the catch: the first person to “read” it may not be a person at all. Before your application reaches a recruiter’s desk, it likely has to survive the filter of an Applicant Tracking System (ATS)—software designed to sort, scan, and rank resumes. If yours isn’t optimized, it could be dismissed automatically, even if you’re a strong match for the job.
That sounds discouraging, but it doesn’t have to be. With a few smart adjustments, you can build a resume that works for both the machines and the humans behind the hiring process.

Manufacturing continues to evolve, driven by automation, workforce shifts, and global supply chain dynamics. For HR executives and operations managers, this changing landscape offers significant opportunities for professional growth if approached with the right mindset and strategy. These leaders are not only responsible for smooth operations and effective workforce management, but they also play a critical role in shaping company culture, driving productivity, and ensuring long-term success.
| | The manufacturing industry is at the center of innovation, yet one of the biggest hurdles organizations face today is finding and keeping skilled talent. With workforce shortages, retiring baby boomers, and increasing competition for younger workers, companies can no longer rely on outdated hiring practices. Attracting the right talent and ensuring they stay engaged requires a thoughtful approach that addresses compensation, growth opportunities, workplace culture, and recruitment methods. | | Building Stronger Teams Through Ntrinsx | | |
We recently hosted another engaging Ntrinsx session, this time with the leaders from Blue Ridge Risk Partners newest acquisition. The focus of this session was on understanding people, communication styles, and performance management—all essential elements in building strong teams and creating alignment across organizations.
Looking ahead, we’re excited for our next session in October, where both leadership groups will come together for the first time. This joint session will dive into setting priorities and effective time management, providing tools and strategies to strengthen collaboration and drive success moving forward, all while taking into account individual temperaments and work values.
| | Client Spotlight: KCI Aviation Announces Major Expansion in Bridgeport, WV | |
We’re excited to share big news from our client, KCI Aviation (KCI). As part of its continued growth and 40-year legacy, KCI has announced plans for a new aircraft and engine maintenance facility in Bridgeport, West Virginia—a milestone project that will strengthen the region’s role in aerospace and create new opportunities for both the community and the industry.
Located adjacent to the North Central Regional Airport’s new passenger terminal, the first phase of construction will include a 30,000-square-foot hangar designed to service two large-cabin aircraft simultaneously. The new facility will support KCI’s role as a Pratt & Whitney Preferred Service Provider, making it one of only two companies worldwide exclusively authorized by Gulfstream to provide engine maintenance support for its fleet.
This project will bring more than just industry recognition. KCI anticipates adding 25–30 new jobs for skilled aircraft mechanics and support staff by 2026. A third-party study projects an economic impact of more than $350 million for the Bridgeport area, driven by new employment, local business activity, and long-term investment.
Future development plans include an additional 50,000 square feet of workspace, further expanding KCI’s capabilities to support Pratt & Whitney engines and services globally.
We’re proud to celebrate this exciting chapter with KCI Aviation and look forward to seeing the positive impact this project will have on both the aerospace community and the region.
