MAKE A SPLASH:
Adopt-a-Salmon and
Support Our Students Today!
| This year, Steppingstone students are diving into a hands-on learning experience with the Salmon-in-the-Classroom project again! Through this exciting program, students are exploring the fascinating life cycle of salmon—from eggs to fry to adult fish—while gaining a deeper appreciation for ecological systems and conservation efforts. | |
|
Come spring, the students will embark on a special journey to release their salmon into the Detroit River, contributing to the restoration of local waterways. But that’s not all—Steppingstone is inviting the community to join in on the fun! For just $10, you can "Adopt-a-Salmon”. As an adopter, you’ll receive a personalized certificate naming your fish and the satisfaction of supporting this unique educational program.
Proceeds from the "Adopt-a-Salmon" campaign will help maintain the students' live science tanks, which house a variety of life, including salmon, a saltwater ecosystem, and even tortoises!
Don’t miss your chance to be part of this fin-tastic adventure. Contact us today at 248-957-8200 to adopt your salmon and support Steppingstone students in their mission to learn and grow!

SUPPORT OUR AUCTION COMMITTEE -
Join the Fun & Make a Difference!
| |
|
We’re gearing up for our 32nd Annual Benefit Auction: “A Western Hoedown”, and we need your help to make it a rootin’ tootin’ success!
Our auction committee is hard at work, but we can’t do it alone. We’re calling on our wonderful community to support us with donations. Every contribution helps to ensure the event’s success and supports the incredible education and enrichment we provide for our gifted students, so give now.
How Can You Help?
We’re seeking donations for three of our most exciting features:
-
Silent Auction Baskets: Do you have items that would make a great themed basket? Whether it’s spa essentials, cooking tools, or kid-friendly activities, we’d love to include your creative ideas!
-
Unique Items: We were just donated an artisan fountain pen carved from walnut wood from a Morse tree, housed in a hand-carved wooden box as well.
| |
-
Pick-a-Prize Items: Gift cards & chocolates make fantastic additions to our popular Pick-a-Prize table.
Your donations are more than items – they’re opportunities to enhance the lives of our students and support their growth academically, socially, and emotionally.
How to Donate:
Simply fill out the acquisition part of our Auction tri-fold and drop off your items at Steppingstone School or email us at auction@steppingstoneschool.org to arrange a pickup. The earlier, the better – donations received by March 28, 2025, will be featured in our keepsake catalog!
Let’s Saddle Up and Make This Event Shine!
Together, we can create a memorable night filled with fun, laughter, and generosity. If you have questions or need inspiration for donations, feel free to contact our auction team.
Thank you for your support – we can’t wait to see what you bring to the table (or basket)!
Donate Today and Make a Difference!
Visit www.steppingstoneschool.org/steppingstone-auction-2025/ for more details or you can download the Auction tri-fold.
Let’s make “A Western Hoedown” a night to remember! Yeehaw!

We have been selected again to participate in this year’s Walk of Trees down at Kellogg Park! In school, students will be designing their own ornaments to hang on our tree and as long as weather permits, we will be decorating our tree before going on Thanksgiving break next week!
Tree viewing will begin on Friday, November 29th, and end on Friday, January 3, 2025.
