Middle School Families,
Middle school goal setting conferences will begin the week of October 12. Martha will contact families whose students have been identified for a goal setting conference. Please note that conferences will be held via Zoom. It is strongly recommended for the student to attend the conference. If your child has not been identified for a conference, you can request one. However, we ask for your patience with us as we try to fill all spaces and accommodate all meetings. As a reminder, please continue to check your child’s progress and communicate with his/her teachers. We also encourage you and your child to check emails regularly. PowerSchool Parent Portal provides information on your childs attendance and grades.
Lastly, please continue to encourage your child to submit assignments on time and request support as needed. Our teachers have set aside office hours for your children and have also made themselves available upon appointment.

We are happy to open our libraries this year and give all our students access to books. El Sol Academy will be doing a No Contact Library check out system.
Students will be able to browse our library catalog from home, place a hold, and pick up library books using Destiny, our library catalog.
The following slides will give you step by step instructions on how to login, search, and place a library hold.

Lunch Program Information
- Parents can pick up Breakfast from 7:00 am to 2:30 pm.
- Lunch from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm. We cannot provide Lunches earlier because they are not available. Lunches arrive to the School at 9:30 am.
- They can opt for taking both or one at a time. Students can come at 10:35 am and ask for his/her lunch and breakfast or he/she could come at 2:25 pm and ask for both as well
- Meals will be served on the Elementary Site only.
- Meals distribution Protocols go back to normal. The student MUST be present to receive the Meal.
- Meals are ONLY for El Sol Students.

The Dragon Kim Foundation's Music Program is offered to elementary students in grades 4 - 6 who are interested in making music in a fun and interactive class setting. This year our Fall semester will be entirely virtual! Students and teachers will meet on Fridays on Zoom for 45 minutes of music instruction and exploration, and will get additional online materials to complete at their own pace. Students will learn the fundamentals of music through movement, games, singing, and learning about instruments. Each session will be taught by our talented OCSA instructors and high school student teachers. Join us as we bring music to life! |

Cover To Cover Fall Reading Program
It’s time for the Fall Reading Program! Program starts Monday, October 5 through Friday, November 13, 2020. Read and earn one certificate for a free hamburger or cheeseburger from In-N-Out for every five (5) books read, or someone reads to you. To participate pick up a reading log from either the Main or Newhope library during curbside pickup hours Monday – Friday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
