Stony Run Jazz Concert

We're searching for an online-savvy volunteer(s) to help post the upcoming Jazz Concert to digital calendars and local media sites. We're looking for help asap through Sept., and an outreach list and text will be provided. This can be done in bite-sized chunks (10-15 minutes here and there). Interested? Hearty Gatherings of Friends: All-Meeting Brunches


On July 27 and August 17, Stony Run Friends gathered for our annual summer All-Meeting Brunches. Following Meeting for Worship, the air was filled with warm conversations, laughter, and the delicious aroma of shared dishes. This special tradition carries on each summer, and continues to be a special opportunity of connection toward which so many in our community look forward. Thank you to all who participated!

Social Order Box


Donations to the Social Order Box for the month of September will go to ERICA, which with the support of volunteers and community partners helps refugees, asylum seekers, and other newcomers in Greater Baltimore area. Donations for the Social Order Box can be made online here by selecting “Give to Social Order Box Income.” Checks may also be mailed to the Meetinghouse or placed in the Social Order Box to the left of the Library doors. Please make checks payable to Stony Run Friends Meeting, with ‘S.O. Box’ on the memo line.

IC4BL Hosts a Back-to-School Supply Drive



Until August 29, Interfaith Coalition for Black Lives is collecting new school supplies for the Kirk P. Gaddy Youth & Community Center, Inc., on the eastside, Unified Efforts, Inc., a free summer and afterschool program on the westside, and Federal Hill Preparatory School, a Title I public school in south Baltimore. Items are being collected in the box on the porch of the Meetinghouse, and you can learn more about what items to bring on our blog.

Interfaith Action for Human Rights (IAHR) is a non-profit organization that unites people from various faith backgrounds to advocate for human rights, with a primary focus on the corrections system. Their main goal is to reform a system that they believe is overly punitive and instead promote practices that prioritize rehabilitation and the successful re-entry of formerly incarcerated individuals into society. News of Friends

In Loving Memory: Laura Kinsey


Stony Run Member Laura Kinsey died on July 13, 2025. She was deeply involved in this community, lending her beautiful voice and loving passion. For years, Laura has led Stony Run's annual Christmas Carol sing-along. She was caring to all, and organized Stony Run's Meeting for Healing, holding in the Light anyone requesting support for health or difficult circumstances in their life.

A Memorial Meeting will take place at Stony Run on Saturday, October 18 at 11:00 AM.
