HHPNC Board Member Jamie Tijerina was one of the Region 8 Neighborhood Council members selected by the Board of Neighborhood Comissioners (BONC) to be on the Funding Equity Working Group.

This working group will meet in January and February to provide recommendations to help assure that Neighborhood Councils are funded equitably so they can adequately serve stakeholders throughout the city.

Highland Park Heritage Trust is accepting nominations until January 31st for it’s 2018 Community Preservation Awards on their website. Details here.

The California Department of Motor Vehicles begins accepting applications today for "Real ID" driver's licenses and state identification cards. These are licenses and IDs that will be required to board a domestic flight, enter federal buildings and visit military installations starting in 2020.  Read more
