TOMORROW, APRIL 17, 2021 - CAMP STRANG PREPARATION DAY #1 (WORKDAY #1)

Tomorrow, April 17 will be our first Preparation Day. BRING YOUR OWN LUNCH AND SNACKS and dressed to get dirty.

We have used the term "workday" for a long time, and we all know what this means. We will work hard to get camp PREPARED by cleaning it, improving the camp facilities, and preparing OUR camp for the upcoming summer after its long hibernation.

SO...JOIN US AS WE GET CAMP STRANG PREPARED
FOR ITS 60TH ANNIVERSARY!

There are two other Prep Days scheduled. May 8 and June 5.

CONGRATULATIONS TO...
TROOP 25B, TROOP 28, AND PACK 25, SHELTON - The youth picture here performed 2 hours of community service last weekend on Pootatuck place in Shelton behind the Hilton hotel. They did an amazing job cleaning up and had some fun doing it. Look at all the smiling faces behind those masks. For more information on how Troop 25 found out about the project contact Mark Sims.
THANK YOU to all our units who contributed photos and stories for "CONGRATULATIONS TO..." This section of our newsletter continues because of your contributions. Continue to submit your stories and pictures of what your unit is doing. Please add an email for other leaders interested in contacting you, so they can do what you did in their unit.
ORDER OF THE ARROW HIGH ADVENTURE

Do you need an escape from that 9-5 job, summer classes, or the monotony of staring out of your bedroom window longing for something new? If your answer is yes, the Order of the Arrow has the answer for you!

Each summer, the Order of the Arrow offers a myriad of different High Adventure opportunities to meet your summer needs. Maybe it's wetting your appetite by going for a plunge in the Atlantic Ocean with the Ocean Adventure at the Florida Sea Base. Or maybe hiking is your passion; if so, what better place to go than the Philmont Scout Ranch, where you can hike the same trails as your Scoutmaster or Scouting ancestors as a part of your Trail Crew experience? Have you ever thought about what the Native Americans and early explorers did to be avid traders? Maybe the OA Voyage is your calling. Whatever your summer aspirations may be, these National High Adventure bases have put together a multitude of options for you.

Dear Scouts and families,

You can’t spell Scouting without “outing”, and we are excited to invite you to a weekend of celebrating the great outdoors! Momentum: Discover, a nation-wide, virtual event hosted by the Order of the Arrow will take place April 23rd-24th. Momentum: Discover will bring us back to our roots and help us re-discover the joy of camping! The event will feature more than a dozen hours of live, original content focused on the outdoors. Competitions with the national officers of the Order of the Arrow, training sessions, and special guests are just a sample of the many activities to participate in over the weekend! All Scouts are invited to take part, regardless of membership in the Order of the Arrow. More information about the event can be found at momentum.oa-bsa.org.

We hope you’ll participate in this great event. You can watch the livestream for free as a basic delegate or register as a premium delegate. Premium delegates get the full event experience in exchange for a $25 registration fee: access to the community platform, the event wide game, access to archived content, and the Momentum: Discover patch and sticker.

There’s nothing like the great outdoors and we hope you will join us for this fun event for the entire family. Visit momentum.oa-bsa.org to learn more and register for Momentum: Discover!

Yours in Scouting,

Paugassett Lodge Leadership
