Alliance for African Assistance has been working with Ukrainian refugees this whole summer. There are many different situations that people are dealing with, but our most immediate issue is inconsistent living situations.

Gleanings For The Hungry dries, packs, and distributes excess food to hungry people all over the world. We are sending. a mission team to work at Gleanings Oct. 16-21, 2022.

This is the 13th year LJPC will be sending a team of 10 to Sultana, California, (carpooling is an option), "To feed those in need both physically and spiritually" in the USA and around the globe. This is a Mission Trip for the young and older. A $10 deposit will hold your spot. There are a couple of upcoming memorials, and there are opportunities to help host a reception for the grieving families. If you have the gift of hospitality, and an extra hour or two your help would be deeply appreciated.

As you come in to Church on Sunday morning, look for the magnetic name badges in the courtyard or hallway. In an effort to get to know each other better and build more community, we encourage you to wear yours during worship and fellowship time. If you don’t find your name, there’s a sign-up sheet to order one. Afterward you can bring it home, or put it back on the wall, and it will be ready for you next week.
