Administrative Updates & Announcements From the Office

Your Input is Requested

There has been some discussion of late regarding whether or not to add a 7th/8th grade Junior Academy class. Currently, all four core subjects are offered to 7th and 8th graders at the HCS Academy; however, both academies operate with differing models and price structures. If you have an opinion on this topic, we would love to hear from you.

Please carefully read the instructions and explanations in the form description before completing the survey. You would be eligible to take this survey if you....

1. Have ever used one of our academies

2. Think you may at some point use one of our academies

3. Understand the difference in cost and model of the two different academies (which is explained on the form)

You may take the survey HERE.

HCS Board of Directors Seeking Nominations for New Board Members for the 2025-2026 School Year

Nomination Period: January 20 - February 28, 2025

Please send your nominations to HCSboard@hcssd.org and principal@hcssd.org. You do not need to confirm the interest of the nominee to submit their name (though you are certainly welcome to do so). The Principal will reach out and let the nominee know they have been nominated and determine whether or not they want to proceed.

Your role as a member is vital in this process. We are looking to you to bring forth men who you believe share our passion and vision for Heritage Christian School. We hope that you will take some time to think through at least one or two nominations. Self-nominations are also welcomed.

For complete information about the qualifications and duties of Board members, please go to the member's password-protected section of the website, enter the passcode (hcssd2425), and locate the Bylaws (under Documents).

First Semester Grades Due February 11th

First semester grades are due by February 11th. To enter grades, follow the instructions below.

The Student Information System (SIS) grade page is linked with the Course of Study page that you entered back at the beginning of the year. When you login to SIS to enter your students' grades, all the classes that you entered in your Course of Study will be waiting for you in the grading system. Select grades for each subject for this semester.

If you have added a class since you entered your Course of Study – no worries. Go back to the Course of Study on the left hand side, and add the course. Then go back to Grades/Input Grades and proceed to fill in the grades received. If no grade is to be given this semester, leave the grade blank.

Remember to click SAVE when complete.

If you did not enter a Course of Study, you must first enter all courses in the Course of Study.

Step by step instructions on how to enter grades are available on the SIS home page. A tutorial video is also available on our How To Heritage page.
