Aloha from the Church of God State Office.
The love, fellowship, and time spent together in worship at Camp Meeting 2025 was extraordinary. It was good to shake hands, hug necks, and talk story. Each speaker shared the word of God and their heart with us.
Dr. Tony Stewart spoke to us about the Door to More and challenged us to step through and into what God opens before us. Les Higgins reminded us of the power and purpose of Pentecost as well as the need for changing our leadership. Ino Bocobo and Syrahlyn Vergara represented our young voices and senior statesmen with two powerful messages. Sy spoke about living the life you are called to. Ino challenged us to recognize that God is ever Faithful. Dr. Steve Hall helped us realize that ministry is a unique & dangerous vocation. He also helped us know how to care for our souls so that we will not just survive but thrive in the ministry. On youth night Blake Shuler spoke about water and fire. As a 20-year-old evangelist he demonstrated for our young ministers what is possible in ministry, even at a young age. If you missed a service, I encourage you to go to our YouTube Account (@hawaiicog) and watch the replay. You will be blessed.
On Tuesday evening, we celebrated our CAMS graduates and our first ever class of CAMS for Students graduates. Thursday featured our annual Ministers Fellowship and Awards Luncheon with amazing food, warm fellowship, and celebration.
Thank you to everyone who attended Camp Meeting. It would not have been the same without you. Thank you also to the army of volunteers who made Camp Meeting so successful. From early Monday morning loan-in and set-up to late Thursday night tear-down and clean up, many people invested of their time and labor. May God richly reward everyone.
As hard as it is to believe, we are already working on Camp Meeting 2026. Mark your calendar now for the week of June 15-18, 2026. We will again be at the Filipino Community Canter in Waipahu for another great week of Camp Meeting. We already have a couple of our speakers confirmed. Our evening speaker will be Pastor Mo Huggins, who preached at the 2024 Church of God International General Assembly. You will definitely want to be here for Camp Meeting 2026.
Candie and I love you and continue to believe God for greater things ahead.

YWEA
Youth World Evangelism Action is a means of helping our students get involved in giving to World Missions. Each year Church of God students from all over the world work together to impact a specific project. Hawaii has a rich heritage in YWEA. Our Ministry Center was a YWEA Project in the 1070's. We have also given a significant amount of money over the passed 50+ years of YWEA. This year focuses on Grace for Greece and provides an opportunity for oour students to make a real difference.

What a summer to remember!
Youth Camp 2025 – The Fellowship of the Redeemed brought us to the mountain top—literally and spiritually. We pitched our brand-new tent and called it Rebuilding the Tent of David, creating space for a powerful move of God among our juniors and teens.
Both Bishop Matt Cannon and Bishop Joel Reyes brought timely, truth-filled messages that challenged and changed lives. From the altar to the cabin devotions, God was moving. Each camper received a journal, and the things they wrote down—encounters, revelations, and commitments—were nothing short of powerful.
This year we witnessed:
Saved - 41
Rededicated - 18
Spirit-Filled - 36
Called into Ministry - 15
Water Baptized - 33
We’re reminded of Acts 3:19 – “Times of refreshing come from the presence of the Lord.” That’s exactly what our campers experienced—true, personal encounters with the living God.
Thank you for your continued prayers, support, and partnership. Because of you, we are able to invest in raising up a generation who know God, walk in His presence, and answer His call.
Let’s keep building. The best is yet to come.
With Aloha and Gratitude,
Brian Whitelock

What’s Coming Next
We’re not slowing down! Aother major project is now on deck:
Remodeling in Wailuku
Starting the second week of July, we’ll begin remodeling the Wailuku building that will become the future home of The Bride Church of God, led by Pastor Jason and Jerlyn Albino. We are excited to see this vision come to life and believe this church will be a light in the heart of the community.
We are so thankful for your partnership, prayers, and continued support. Together, we are reaching the lost, rebuilding what was broken, and expanding the Kingdom of God across Hawaii.

Aloha from the Hawaii Media Team
Lights, camera, Kingdom impact!
On behalf of the Hawaii Media Team, I want to extend my heartfelt mahalo to every volunteer who served during Camp Meeting and Youth Camp—those behind the soundboard, the livestream, the social media posts, and everything in between. Your dedication helped carry the message far beyond the tent and into hearts around the world.
A special shout-out to our Youth Camp Media Team—you stepped up in a big way, capturing moments that mattered and helping make this generation’s God encounters unforgettable.
One powerful example: A young man tuned in live to Camp Meeting simply because his grandparents were attending. Not only did he watch—he encountered Jesus. He rededicated his life to Christ and shared that he feels the call of God on his life. All because someone hit “Go Live.” That’s the power of what we do.
We are reminded in 1 Corinthians 12:12 – “Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ.” Every role matters. Every part counts. And together, we make the message visible.
Thank you for being part of this team. Let’s continue to serve with excellence and unity—because what we do makes an eternal difference.
— Bishop Wayne White (aka B-Dub)
Hawaii Media Director

Lahian Ground breaking
God has certainly moved in our favor. What we were told would take 5 or more years, God is doing in less than 3. We have signed the contract, broken ground and are expecting the architect’s plans for approval. A larger, state of the art church and parsonage will be on the corner of Prison Street in Lahaina. Plus, a church plant is in the works for those residents who have either moved to Wailuku because of displacement from the fire, or new congregants as a result of the temporary meeting location. No matter their reason for the Wailuku location, The Bride Church will be there to meet their needs. Please praise God with us as we see His wonderful work being done.

Tent Purchased for Multiple Ministry Use
Annually, the Hawaii Church of God Youth Department had been saddled with the cost of renting a large tent to be used as a worship center for the service and multipurpose area. It had come to our attention that two year’s rental of the tent would cover the cost of purchasing the tent outright. The double benefit, is that the structure could be used to provide additional space for the ministry center. Thereby, making state gatherings more comfortable by providing more space. The dual purpose of the tent only made sense. The youth department raised half the budget for the purchase and the state office raised the remaining, as an investment in the youth department and ministers of the state. Now, instead of the rental fee being an investment in a company, the investment will continue to provide worship space for youth camp for many years to come and expanded space for ministry gatherings. We look forward to celebrating with our students and with you in this new addition.
| | | | | | Camp meeting resource tables were expanded. Church of God Discipleship bookstore shared valuable resources. Both Dr. Gary Lewis and Dr. Tony Stewart featured their books. Y&D displayed student talent and resources. WM shared project updates and a gift for each pastor’s wife. Missionaries from Samoa were on hand to share their about their work. A grand display from the new Hawaii Church of God Evangelism department that has been hard at work and had much to share. Equally grand, and equally important, was our retired minister‘s table that featured a photo of every retired minister and spouse. And finally, at the minister‘s luncheon on Thursday, Les Higgins' book on leadership was presented to all new ministers. Each minister and spouse received a booklet on gender identity entitled THE GENDER QUESTION A GUIDE FOR HEALING AND HOPE by Dr. David Cooper. | | |

The Revs. Holland to Lead Hawaii Church of God Prayer Force
Through miraculous partnership, Revs. Joel and Ryan Holland continue to build on the foundation of the Maranatha Church of God on Kauai. Their heart for God and people shines bright. This makes their appointment to lead the HI prayer initiative exciting. Look for news and opportunities to engage in prayer in the coming days.
We are asking each church to forward to the State Office the name and contact information of an individual to join the prayer ministry team as a representative from the local church. God still answers prayer.
