A Season of Gratitude and New Beginnings at ICF COG
International Christian Fellowship Church of God (ICF COG) enters a meaningful and historic season as it celebrates both a legacy of faithful service and the promise of new leadership.
After more than 39 years of devoted ministry, Rev. Benny has officially retired from the pastorate, stepping into a groundbreaking and honored role as Hawaii’s first Pastor Emeritus. His decades of steadfast leadership, spiritual guidance, and tireless commitment have shaped the church into a thriving and unified community. While his title has changed, his influence and the legacy he leaves behind will continue to inspire generations to come. The congregation extends its deepest gratitude for his unwavering dedication, servant leadership, and the countless lives impacted through his ministry.
At the same time, ICF COG joyfully embraces a new chapter as Pastora Syralyn Vergara assumes the role of Lead Pastor. Her installation represents not only a transition in leadership but also the continuation of a shared vision and mission. This moment has been nearly a year in the making, reflecting thoughtful planning, prayer, and intentional preparation to ensure a smooth and seamless transition for the church family.
Pastora Syralyn steps into this position with passion, commitment, and a heart for serving both the congregation and the broader community. Building upon the strong foundation established by Rev. Benny, she brings fresh energy and perspective while honoring the values and spiritual heritage of the church.
This transition is not an ending, but a beautiful continuation—where past faithfulness meets future promise. Together, ICF COG celebrates a legacy well lived and looks ahead with hope and anticipation for all that is to come under new pastoral leadership.
