Our Sermon Series for Lent 2022 is focused on Luke’s account of Jesus’ final Journey to Jerusalem
The gospel of Luke spends ten chapters telling us about the final journey Jesus took from Galilee to Jerusalem. We find Jesus making his way through Samaria, talking about the kingdom of God and using a number of parables found only in Luke. In Luke 9:51 we read, “When the days drew near for him to be taken up, he set his face to go to Jerusalem.” During this season of Lent we will reflect on what we can learn from Jesus as he and the disciples make this journey to Jerusalem.

"No Easy Road" This Sunday we're launching our Lenten Sermon series called "Journey to Jerusalem", it's based on the Gospel of Luke's account on Jesus's final journey toward Jerusalem. Who does Jesus meet along the way? And, what stories does He tell to help prepare the decibels for what's to come? | We're looking at Luke Luke 9:51-62, in some translations this starts, "Now it came to pass, when the time had come for Him to be received up, that He steadfastly set His face to go to Jerusalem". Jesus' earthly ministry is coming to an end, and He set's His face for what's to come. | You can access the live stream Sunday morning at 8:45 and 10:00am:

Lenten Devotionals Available

The season of Lent is a time of preparation. It is not simply a day, but instead it is intentionally called a season. A period of time to reflect, and pray, and to prepare ourselves for the celebration of Easter.
This year, we are using the words of the late Rev. Stan Beard as our guide. This Lenten devotional was written by Stan in 2016 and as I “re-read” it, I am reminded of the wisdom he shared with so many, and the influence he had on my life.
I am grateful for the friendship we shared and so thankful for the devotionals he shared with our church family.
As we journey with Jesus to Jerusalem, I encourage you to use this devotional guide as a way of daily preparing yourself to celebrate the good news of the resurrection of Jesus Christ on Easter morning.
Grateful to be on this journey with you,
Rev. Dr. Paul Cunningham

Building Community Through Name Tags
|
As you come in to Church on Sunday morning, look for the new magnetic name badges in the courtyard or hallway. In an effort to get to know each other better and build more community, we encourage you to wear yours during worship and fellowship time. If you don’t find your name, there’s a sign-up sheet to order one. Afterward you can bring it home, or put it back on the wall, and it will be ready for you next week.
